Long story, short - I have a nephew who graduated from a SUNY with an actor in the movie, Kirk Acevedo. My nephew told me the story during the time the movie was released. I've never seen the movie (never was a Tony Danza fan) nor have I ever had the opportunity to meet Kirk.  However, I really did enjoy his work in Band of Brothers.

My all time favorite WWII series.  I've lost count of how many times I've watched it but I never get tired of it.   The series is based on a book written by Stephen Ambrose who was raised in WHITEWATER

Where did all the BVU and Simpson fans go???  There used to be quite a few on here from both schools.  We still get decent numbers from Central, Coe, Cornell, Dubuque, Luther, and Wartburg...the occational Loras nut job.  BVU and Simpson fans are missing from the conversation.

Because it's hard to send an email using a crayon? ;)

As an old football coach once told me "Don't let the same football team beat you two weeks in a row".  :-\

Bring it Knights!!  >:(

Congrats to the Norse for winning another close game with Loras today, 20-13.  It seems like the Norse-Duhawk series has been close games as of late with the home team holding serve.

Luther is now 1-1 in the league, but this team has the look of a team that will have to have things break well to finish 4-4 in the IIAC.  The defense and passing game were better today though. :)

Robbie Jewell is doing a nice job at DB in the two games that I have seen.  Chris Reynolds and the OL had a nice 2nd half.

The Loras passing game did not look very good.  The Luther Special Teams were inconsistent again.  Clearly these were two teams that are looking up at Coe, Central, Wartburg, and Dubuque.

The league is all over the place right now as the Central-Coe game sounds like it has been fun to watch.

Congrats to Central on bouncing back after taking a beating last week. I am glad I tuned into the Coe/Central game after watching my Rams get beat by Wartburg because it was a pretty exciting 4th quarter. Very nice battle by both teams. The Cornell game was not as exciting  >:(

I just got back from the Luther / Loras game.  I'd like to give a shout out to the Duhawk coaching staff since they all went out of their way to shake hands with Cris Norton after the game.  That was right dececent of 'em.

Sincerely yours,

Great win by UD today.  2nd straight week with over 500 yards offense.  This week the Spartans had a strong running game...last week it was a strong passing game.

I already want next weekend to be here.  Dubuque homecoming against Wartburg should be a great game.  Mrs Doolittle and I will be in town with loads of old friends enjoying ourselves and hopefully get to see a dominating performance from our Spartans.  Hopefully we can host some Wartburg fans from this site at our tailgate as well.  It would be great if we could have the same weather next week that we just had today.

Congrats to the Spartans!  Coach Zweifel still looks like a good hire from a distance!

Loras AD is thinking to himself...
"Maybe Osterberger wasn't such a bad coach afterall..."

"Another saturday, another loss for our football team...oh well, Loras is a soccer school anyways..."

"Our once proud Duhawk basketball team didn't even make the conference tourney last year, our football team might go 1-9, thank God our mens and womens soccer teams are nationally ranked or I might be out of a job..."

"I gotta get me some of what IdahoSoccer is drinking...that is one positive, glass is half full person..."

Luther is 1-1 in league play...

Cornell away is likely a win...

Simpson at home is a toss up, but give the edge to Luther playing at home

BVU at home is a toss up, but give the edge to Luther playing at home

Luther getting 3 home games against toss up teams is a sign of things breaking well to finish 4-4 in the IIAC

That would get Luther to their 4th or 5th straight 4-4 conference record...you could change your name to the Luther College Even Stevens ::)
