But I'm pretty sure Lil' Wayne is in the 1st row there, with coocoo scouting future rugby players from the back of the group ;)

Michael Zweifel is in an NCAA video...http://www.dbq.edu/udathletics/news.cfm?id=1910&team=Football

That was a nice video. It's good to see that he's grounded. I think I could take him in Chinese Checkers.  ;D

Nice video ... and nice guy ... along with the coach and the team-mates.  And it goes without saying ... a damn good school too.

I wonder how many people will realize that the red brick building that shows early in the video is Van Vliet Hall ... which also appeared in "Field of Dreams"?

GO SPARTANS!

She doesn't remind me every time. It's only once a week.  ;)

I got a nice letter from the new baseball coach last week. It was one of those mass mails sent to all baseball alumni. It mentioned some of the new construction that will be going on at Cornell. It will be nice to finally see a new football stadium. I love the real grass there but it hasn't been the same since they put the clamps on Ace taking proper care of it. The field turf will be nice since it'll get the football team off the baseball outfield in the fall.

Willie University

I've been in the woods for the past 5 days so not sure if anyone saw this yet but a great video on from NCAA website on Michael Zweifel's college career in and out of the classroom as well as photos of one of the other Spartan great's Sol Butler.

Watching that video makes me proud to be a Spartan.

Waiting for Central's 2012 schedule got me thinking if there are any non-con teams I would especially like them to play.  I couldn't think of any good reasons to schedule one team vs another except for their proximity to my home.  Finally I have decided that I would like to see Central play The University of Chicago.  It would be easy for me to get to and I could say that the Dutch beat a team that has both some Big Ten Championships and a Heisman in its trophy case.

I would like to see UD schedule Hope, Olivet or Alma in the MIAA.  Those are all within an hour of my house.

Been there done that.  Nice trophy area and history of the schools reason for leaving the Big Ten.  President didn't like the emphasis on sports.  Maybe we'll see the same type of display in the Cornell trophy area when they become a power in the Midwest Conference.

Nice diner not to far off campus that is a shrine (lots of pictures) to our beloved president.  It is in the area he was a community organizer.  The food was very good.

Looking over the Capital One D-3 Academic All-America team, who from the Spartan Nation could imagine ever having 4 Spartans among that group?

WOW SPARTANS!

I just thought of a reason for having one non-con foe vs another.  I think every year, at least one IIAC team should schedule St Johns just to boost Post Patterns traffic on here.

Your blood pressure couldn't stand it either ;)

I suppose with UD putting a recruiting emphasis on Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois the Spartans might try to schedule 1 WIAC and 1 CCIW team per year...then see if they could schedule Grinnell or maybe Iowa Wesleyan since they are moving to D3 soon.

doolittledog

Iowa Wesleyan has been accepted into the SLIAC.

The Tigers could be a future football opponant for a number of IIAC teams now that we need a 3rd non-con game to schedule.
