Yikes, Oshkosh has the experience, Central doesn't.  Central goes 3 and out twice, Oshkosh marches to the end zone twice three times.  Too bad experience has to come the hard way.

Football Trivia....What goes faster, Oshkosh's scoring or the time clock?

The time clock is NOT moving nearly fast enough.  Still first quarter and 28-0.  Haven't seen that since Central played Occidental.  Hate to say that ended 71-0.  Really hope the Dutch can find something positive out of this.

Thankfully the first quarter is over before they score again.  Time to regroup and do a gut check.

Woohoo!  Dutch prevent a TD with the help of the refs!

We've got 'em on the ropes now!  Oshkosh calls timeout after Dutch get a first down.   ;)

Was that thunder or did Ron Schipper just turn over in his grave?  Over 500 yards offense in the first half for Oshkosh.  It wasn't thunder.   :D

Loras picks up where they left off.  Lose 36-0 to Elmhurst.  Another 1-9 season very possible thanks to Rockford on the schedule again!

Interesting Tanney development.

He technically wasn't cut today. His injured finger meant he was put in IR. Not sure exactly what that means going forward, but it's definitely interesting. Maybe a convenient way to make sure a guy with an injury can make it through  waivers and onto the practice squad.

With the new rule agreed upon yesterday, only 1 player on the IR can return this season - come off IR in week 6, on the roster in week 8. Otherwise IR means out for the year. I believe you can be waived off IR, but they can't play this season or go to a practice squad (but not 100% sure of that).

You can be waived but as a injured player the team is going to have to work out an injury settlement to do that.

Are you insinuating that if Oshkosh knew what type of offense the Dutch were going to run they wouldn't adjust their defense to it? Well that's just wrong. And obviously they are going with their most basic base D because what choice do they have? Im not saying it will be the difference between winning and losing the game, but not knowing what kind of offense your opponent is running is a definite disadvantage. The Dutch on the other hand have a basic knowledge of what Oshkosh will try to do therefore they will have have special keys, assignments, formations, etc. to help deal with Wara.

Wow, so much for that.

Nice for the Dutch against the second teamers.  Down 47-0 it would be easy to just pack it in and fold for the rest of the game.  Glad to see the Dutch get a chance to build some offensive and defensive momentum going into the next game.  Central will not face another team this good the rest of the season.  Sorry IIAC, but that QB is way better than anything the IIAC has to offer.  Glad they finally took him out instead of leaving him and risking an avoidable injury that could easily have completely changed their fate for the rest of the year.  Never understood risking key players in already decided games.  This was a whooping, even though we scored 28 unanswered points.  The silver lining is that all areas needing improvement were shown today so the coaches know where the most work lies.  Bright spots, not surprisingly that Sheldon was 4-4 on extra points, also nice to see the Dutch block two extra point attempts.

Learning comes at a painful price, but I think these players show that they don't give up and this will serve to light a fire under the Dutch moving forward.

We rested the big guns today, man.  A lot of positives out there today for the DuHawks

I hope you're right, but sadly I don't think you are. Wara is probably the best athlete they will face, but Wartburg, Coe, and DBQ could all be just as good as a teams...Hopefully that second half "comeback" gave them something positive to build off of, but right now you got to believe the Dutch the will be dogs in 4 or possibly 5 more games this season....Luckily teams improve the improve the most in the second week (or so the cliche says), and Dutch staff knows their football (although I don't know if they've had such an uphill climb at this point).....next week will be very interesting to say the least.

Also, I couldn't watch the game, did central figure out the qb position or is it still cloudy?

I apologize if this is some running joke or something on here, but I gotta say: this was annoying last year and its completely obnoxious this year.
