Can't remember who was faulting Central for appointing a "coach that couldn't win" (paraphrasing) to A.D....well Central opened their season yesterday by thoroughly beating No. 19 St. Olaf 24-11.....
Maybe you were right after all and it will be a great hire.

One thing I hated when I was at Luther was hearing wrestlers talk about rankings of how much harder they had it then everyone Else. Is there only like 70 d3 wrestling programs.

I am counting on Coaches Jones and Mac to put a lot of time in helping the O-line get their level of play up a notch for this weekend.  The Dutch will need to be clicking on all cylinders and then some this weekend.  Would love to see Central finish strong.  Good luck to all of the seniors playing their final game this weekend.  I will wish Coe's seniors good luck the next week.   :)

So are you giving the O-line coach the week off then? :P

Sorry about another wrestling topic on a football board, but I have a question about scheduling.

I see on Wartburg's wrestling schedule that on the next two Saturdays they are scheduled at two events on the same day.
November 10th - Luther Open and the Iowa Sate Harold Nichols Open
November 17th - Augsburg Open and the Concordia Invitational

I assume this situation occurs for other wrestling teams.  How do the coaches determine which wrestlers they send where and do they normally send their "1st team" to one location?  Do coaches try to send their best wrestlers to face the best competition or do they avoid head to head meetings between top grapplers until tournament time?

I'm not sure what kind of coaching it would take, but I would like to see them make it through the game without a false start, illegal formation or motion penalty.

Wish we had 2 o line coaches. Probably why one program is great and has resources and we won't win a game this yr.
lucky for us basketball season is coming and our staff is nothing short of great and ready for another big year

Got my workout in (only a big # to go to get my but back in shape!) & time to go tailgate before watching the Knights put a beat down on the Duhawks! Weather is good; should be a great day!

Trying to get the Central-Coe game, but it says there are no scheduled events.  Doesn't Coe carry theirs?

Klompen

Way to go Dutch!  Dutch 6 - Coe 0.  For a change I am happy to accept settling for 2 field goals.  Dutch have had the ball twice and scored, Coe has had the ball twice and turned it over twice.  Way too early, but a better start than normal.

Talking to myself here, but Central up 13-7 early in the 2nd quarter.  Keep it up Dutch!

Coe's 'color guy' is the most monotone, disintrested voice I've ever heard doing that job  :o

www.kniakrls.com/streaming-media/ will get you to Dutch Radio's call.  Central let's a bad coverage/tackle big TD get scored by Coe right toward end of the 3rd to fall behind 27-13.  Almost got out of the 3rd qtr with Coe having the wind while holding Coe, but one bad play and we have a bit more work to do on offense.  Good thing we get the wind in the 4th.

Wow BV up on UD at UD 21-10 at end of 3rd.  Is that the same UD that is the almost best team in the conference? ::)  Might be at least a partial serving of crow coming up.   ;)  Open wide, Willie.   :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
