Any updates on the Luther coaching search???

That's 7 words  :D

I'll do better next time... ;D

You got any coaching updates???

Potential candidates interview in January

According to ESPN Radio 1500KSTP in the Twin Ciities, today, Kurt Ramler who was a finalist for the St. John's job could be "in the mix" for the Luther job. I have no idea where they get their information. For the record, they were wrong about who would succeed John Gagliardi at SJU.
If Kurt does get the job, you can count on an up-tempo offense and creative play calling. He was the MIAC Coach of the Year in 2008 while at Carleton College.

Happy New Year.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

I SUSPECT THAT LUTHER FANS DON'T REALLY CARE IF YOU DO OR DON'T.  YOU ARE IRRELEVANT TO THEM.

ARE YOU A LYING ADDICT?

If you suspect you are a lying addict, the following self assessment questions will help you determine whether you are or not...

1. Is your life out of control because of your lying?
2. Is your mind obsessed with your lies or lying?
3. Do you lie every day?
4. Do you fail to do what is important and normally expected of you because of your lying?
5. Do you risk aspects of your personal safety and the safety of your loved ones in order to lie?
6. Are you in danger of losing loved ones because of your lying?
7. Does your body crave the experience associated with lying so strongly that you feel you have to lie?
8. Have you ever decided to stop lying and lasted only a couple of days?
9. Do you ever wish people would mind their own business about your lying and stop telling you what to do?
10. Have you had problems in the last year because of your lying?
11. Has your lying caused you problems at home?
12. Will you lose your support system if you tell people about the lies you have told them?
13. Do you tell yourself you can stop lying any time you want even though you keep lying when you don't mean to?
14. Have you ever felt like your life would be better if you didn't lie?

A "yes" response to any of these questions suggests you may be a lying addict. Also, the more "yes" responses the more likely it is that you are a lying addict. However, only you can define yourself as a lying addict. That is nobody's job but yours.

I don't know what was at the root of his departure. It would be irresponsible of me to give an answer. If you post this question on the MIAC board, there are a couple of Carleton posters who should be able to give you an accurate answer.

Is it just me (?) or does it seem stupid to others too that the Outback, Capital One, Gator, and Heart of Dallas Bowl with Nebraska, Michigan, and Northwestern and Purdue playing at the same time.  My remote is almost to hot too touch.  Will eliminate going to the Purdue game (down by 35) hoping the temp will go down.

I long for the days when the big four (Orange, Rose, Sugar, and the other bowl (take your pick Cotton or Fiesta) were played on New Years and the others were interspersed before New years day.

I agree with bird dog.  Though my in-laws don't have cable, so at least the remote isn't about to catch fire!!!

Former Simpson HC Jay Niemann is the D-Coordinator at Northern Illinois :o

Let go by Simpson, spends 3 years as the D-coordinator at Hardin-Simmons, moves last year to Northern Illinois and is now the D-coordinator/DB's there.  Very interesting.

Jay was coaching at Drake when Dave Doeren was a player. That's the connection.

Thanks, always fun to connect the dots.  Good idea to develop a network of friends in the profession.
