When do spring practices begin?

I believe some of the schools with a May term have already started

Wartburg will not start spring drills until May term starts. 4/29 is the first day of May term.

I believe his greatest legacy comes not in how many football games he won or lost but in the fact that he was a committed follower of Jesus Christ.

Duhawkin

Loras starts their spring practices this Thursday. Pretty excited for the Duhawks!

try not to be biased towards your favorite school but what team are you most interested in seeing in how they progress in the offseason with the people they return or the new guys having to fill in for graduating seniors?

Most interested in?

Well DBQ breaking in a new QB will be an interesting story line
Coe breaking in Atwell as a stater will be fun to see
Wartburg is always a good storyline as well.

but I think the most intriguing is Central. They were an extremely young team last year and finished in the middle of that dogpile for 2nd place. They return essentially everyone along with 4 or 5 5th year seniors (last I heard, which could change) all of which are starters and a couple of which are big time players.

They wont have the growing pains of shuffling 3 QBs for the first have of the season, which will be great. Boerm seems to have learned his role and will be a big weapon. WRs will be very good as well too. Defense will be good (assuming they dont get by the injury bug as they did last year)..I think Central could definitely be the surprise team this year (if its possible for central to be a surprise haha)

I see this year being very similar to last, but with everyone elevating their level of play on the whole, so it will be better OOC results and better playoff results.

Coe was the class of the conference last season...will the Kohawks stay up there while breaking in a young QB?

5 schools tied for 2nd place last season...will any of those teams seperate from the pack?

Simpson has had a decent 2 year run.  Do they stay up near the top of the conference?  Or do they slide back after graduating a whole mess of starters on their D?

BVU...what's up with them?

Simpson and Coe look to be the away games my family will make this season.  Possibly BVU if UD is looking at a conference championship at that point.  Though I really don't like that drive >:(

As an IIAC observer, I am interested in how Luther FB comes together now and in the fall.
Essentially an entirely new coaching staff, new system probably, a very short term recruiting period and a large graduation class.  A tough year?  Or could they begin to get beyond the Durnan flop?

Simpson is scheduled to open their season against Iowa Wesleyan.  This will be the 1st season as a D3 school for Iowa Wesleyan.  The new president at Simpson came from Iowa Wesleyan.

Could this be what warthog was getting at when he was talking futureIIAC expansion a few weeks back???

Probably not, but it's a thought ;)

Spurrier

headed to the nati on thursday for spurrier jr's graduation. . .i would like to sincerely thanks the citizens of the great state of ohio for footing the bill for the last five years

Congrats spurrier, it doesn't seem like that long ago your son was leaving home to start school!!!

So, since schools tend to follow along with trends...how long until we find an IIAC school employing a DJ for their football practices?  ;D

A proud day for you.  A happy one too as there is no debt to assume from Jr getting his degree.   :) :)
