I knew the Kohawks belonged in that top 25 schedule on the front page.
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

Is this year a huge coincidence w/ everyone getting new turf, new track, new unis, etc. or a case of keeping up with the Jones'?

I would have to agree with the latter.

Pat Coleman

Remember that the turf projects are mostly (entirely?) replacing turf that was already in place. Those fields have a specific life span and must be replaced every 8-10 years. So that can be considered a coincidence, I think. When the infill turf fields became affordable for D-III schools in the early part of last decade, a ton of schools jumped on the bandwagon because it makes sense. Now we are mostly in maintenance mode.

This doesn't apply to uniforms or tracks. :)

Luther getting new unis...

Ditto for Wartburg, though this doesn't reveal too much...

Like the Cohawks gloves.

From the photo of the Luther uni, I noticed 2 things...1.) uni's look nice; 2.) If that is one of their players, he needs to hit the weight room or they will be looking at last place. Pads weigh more then him  ;D

Not sure what to make out of the fuzzy wartburg 1/4 of a uni photo. And not sure how that photo would make me excited to see the entire thing even if I was a wartburg supporter. Either get a new camera or proper lighting or stop acting like it's so top secret that you may have to seek asylum outside of waverly if you show the entire thing! (referencing Snowden in case anyone didn't get the humor  ;)

Not sure if UD is getting new Uni's or not but don't care, old ones are sweet but more concerned with winning then looking good losing.

Pat, I assume the NCAA has changed the rule about the color of gloves.  I tried looking it up but couldn't find anything.

Here is an article saying that you didn't have to wear gray gloves. http://blog.oregonlive.com/behindducksbeat/2011/02/ncaa_rule_change_takes_the_gra.html

although they probably paid for them out of their own pockets - it's nice to see some of the DIII players with a few perks
