1:45 am.

Can't sleep.  I must be nervous about this one.

I might as well pack up the Wartmobile and be ready to leave Pearl City as soon as Mrs. Warthog wakes up.

Slim pickings at today's tailgating event.  Probably will limit ourselves to leftover fun size candy bars. We had a ton left since it was raining on Holloween night.  :P

Dc1 gives those out to the kids for TD Candy each game  ;D. I had to go to the bank and get a loan at the L& C game 84 points..  :o :-*

Good luck would be nice to see you down the road again ,,  :)

I agree it would be a real shame if the Loras coach was fired for a losing season midway through the season, but there is also the possibility that something happened that might have lead to this.  Either way I wish it had not happened the day before we play them.  This is one of those things that could suddenly inspire a team to great play for the next game.  This game could clinch our adequate status for another year.   :)

Agreed this could either lead to a highly motivated Loras squad or a disaster for them, I'm hoping for neither so we can clinch that much sought after adequate status for another year in a competitive game. :-\

Actually I do harbor some strong feelings that the Dutch have a chance to win 6 or 7 games this year.  If the D can hold up, they can keep us in any game.  Wartburgs offense doesn't look great and Coe has likewise not appeared stellar.  First of all though are the Headless DuHawks.  Assume the highly motivated squad shows up and be ready to take care of business.  I'll be setting the DVR to 9.2 for viewing later.

A team this bad, even "inspired" shouldn't be within 3 TDs of the Dutch today.

You could see the writing on the wall at Loras, but I am surprised this went down mid-season.

Could the Duhawks bring Berie out of retirement  ;)

Central up comfortably after the first quarter. Hopefully they can put on the autopilot, get out with the W and no injuries, and start to prepare for a couple of games that matter.

Coe up 17-3.  So the Dutch may be put in a position of having to prove again that Willis can lose 2 games in a row.  Guess those UD temporary Coe fans are loving this.

Central wins 48-3. Nice to get some wins heading into the last two games.  Guaranteed average status for another year.   ;)  Nice to have two pairs of Central brothers scoring TDs today.   ;)

Simpson beats Dubuque 50-46.  Two high powered offenses going at it tonight.  Congrats to Simpson.

And a special shout out to the Simpson announcer.  Sounds like a college kid, in the booth all by himself, and he did an excellent job.  Not too much of a cheerleader, got names pronounced correctly and wasn't afraid to say if his own team maybe got fortunate on a play.  Well done by that kid.

Chris Bagley had 4 receptions for 65 yards and 2 TD's in the 1st half and went out injured right before half time.  I think that really hurt the UD offense in the 2nd half.

Game of 2 quarterbacks...

Bryan Bradshaw 27-40-500 yards 4 TD's passing and 7-13 yards rushing

Taylor Nelson 23-26-318 yards 3 TD's passing and 29-91 yards rushing and 3 TD's

doolittledog

These games are getting hard to take for my heart.  Dubuque is soooo close to getting to the next level.  They just have to close out these close games more often.

I know they have won some close games, but their 5 conference losses over the past 2 seasons have been by 7 points @ Central, 3 points in double OT to Coe, 3 points @ Wartburg, 7 points to Wartburg, and now 4 points @ Simpson.  Ugh!!!

Reality is for those who lack imagination 😀

Klompen

Central can very much relate to UD with coming out on the wrong end of too many close games, as can BV.  So Central has to take care of business with Wartborg and Coe still on the schedule.  Who does Simpson face the last two weeks?  Yep, too lazy to look it up myself, I know Doolittle can't wait for something to do.   :D

Klompen

So I looked it up, Simpson has BV and Luther left.  Go Dutch, Go Beavers!  And Norse for good measure.

warthog

Today I witnessed an old fashion ass-kicking on the campus of Wartburg College.  The kickers were the Kohawks.  The kickees were the Knights  (This ends my analysis)
