Emma17:

Logan Schrader, #10... pretty slow, poor arm.

Oh, and Domeyer #17... Runs like a patsy

Capitani #4, Throw at him all day... please.

Excellent, thanks much.  I passed this information onto the UWW coaching staff.
Unfortunately, the message was returned.

And then forwarded to Buffalo.....

Good point.  So Wartburg, the best pre game help we can give you now is watch out for your underclassmen, you don't want them ending up in Buffalo.

Congratulations to the Knights on a very well played game last Saturday.

People were all friendly and helpful.  You've got some excellent facilities.  The Sports and Fitness Center is awesome.  And the weather was great for a game played at such a late date.

Two minor things:

1.  Visitor seating is very limited.

2.  Angling the scoreboard to make it easier to view from the home stands has exactly the opposite effect from the visitor side.  Especially when you have a chronically stiff neck.

Good luck with Whitewater.  You're about to learn that the modern D3 era began in 2005. :)

Well considering we faced them in 2008 in the quarterfinals I think we have a very good idea of what the D3 modern era is all about.     :o
Win or lose we still booze!!

Let's be real NKD... there will be booze long before we win or lose.

I have a good feeling about this week though. Whitewater is obviously extremely talented, but I don't think they are at their usual "untouchable" status this year like they have been in years past. Just from following them on the internet, and talking to a few friends of mine that are closer to the game, they are somewhere between the 2008 UWW team and the 2012 UWW team in terms of talent. If that's the case, should be a tight one.

In other words, I don't really know anything (other than the booze, that's a certainty), and I am hoping for a Wartburg W!! Go Knights!

Knock Knock. Anyone around? Hope to see a lot of Knights up north this weekend.

WH, just look for the chubby former olineman with the camera on his shoulder.  While I have shot sideline football highlights from SE MN high schools to Packer games and everything in between, this will be the first time shooting Wartburg Football highlights.  Luckily the temps will be MUCH warmer this weekend then end of December night games at Lambeau field.

GO KNIGHTS!

I am familiar with the Wartburg football connection with booze.  ;D  After hearing my son proclaim this many times I thought it was an appropriate signature.  The good thing is that usually at Wartburg we are boozing after a victory!!

What's the tailgate situation for Knights fans this weekend?  I have only been to games in Waverly this year, so I didn't know if people try to get together in one central spot or not.

Rumor has it there is a Friday night gathering at Ramada in Janesville. Not sure about Saturday but I'm guessing it won't be hard to spot the orange. I was on the WIAC board and they said you don't have to conceal your beverages in the parking lot. Sounds like its one central location.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

You'll find the tailgate area very accommodating (except for a shortage of porta potties maybe)- it's one big lot in front of the stadium.
I wish all that are making the trip safe travels and let's hope both teams will play their best and without injury.  This should be a Jim Dandy.

Actually this team is dramatically better than 2012.  Offense similar to last year.  Defense maybe more like 2008 or 2009.

No question. 2012 team lost a handful of games and didn't even make the playoffs. This team far exceeds them. The difference in offense is night and day better.

However, it's fair to compare them to the Stagg Bowl team in 2008. the 08 team was a lot of young players though, this year the Hawks have lots of senior leadership.

No doubt this will be the greatest test so far for UWW though. Should be fun.
