Had to put the Grain Belt back on the shelf. Can't buy Minnesota beer the week Dubuque plays St. John's ;)
Coach Finstock - "There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that and everything else is cream cheese."

I wonder if some of those St Johns guys will stop by for some of their preposterous pre-game post patterns punditry?

Sea Scorpions discovered in Decorah!

About 460 million years ago, a sea scorpion about the size of an adult human swam around in the prehistoric waters that covered modern-day Iowa, likely dining on bivalves and squishy eel-like creatures, a new study finds ... Researchers dubbed the newfound species Pentecopterus decorahensis, named for Greek warships (penteconter) and the Greek word for wings (pterus) because the sea scorpion was likely a top predator that sped through the water, the researchers said. The species name also honors the Iowa city of Decorah, where the fossils were uncovered.

No IIAC pick-em's this year?

if someone wants to run the pick-ems this year feel free to start it back up.  My wife is running my office now and doesn't feel she has the time.

Would love to get the low down on this story.  This could cause some acrimony  ;)

Not a theft - sharing!

Central football will remain on 92.1 KRLS, our KRLS stream at www.kniakrls.com and the KRLS mobile app.  I'm excited to be back for my 15th season on the mic for the Dutch.

Simpson football can be heard on AM 1320 / FM 95.3 KNIA, our KNIA stream at www.kniakrls.com and the KNIA mobile app.  Long-time Indianola resident Rick Wilson has joined our team to call the games for the Storm.

Well that's actually a good story.  Local station promoting small college sports.  I was envisioning torches and pitchforks and the state militia getting called in  ;D
