10 more weeks and the 2016 season will be underway
Coach Finstock - "There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that and everything else is cream cheese."

My 3rd grader went to a 2 day camp at St. Thomas (we have a cousin on the coaching staff) a couple weeks ago and absolutely loved his experience and my beloved Dutch are dropping on his list of favorite teams.  My question is...how many of the IIAC schools put on camps?  I know Central put on some camps for 7-12 graders, but wondering about all the other schools and what age do they cater to?  Seems like a good way to make a child love a program from a very early age.

Luther held a K-8 camp in June.  Loras had a Big Man camp and a 7 on 7 camp within the last month.  UD had an OL/DL camp back in April.  Not sure of the ages for the Loras and UD camps.

Never too early to get your school in the minds of kids.  I'd put on camps winter, spring, and summer if I could.  And not just high school kids, but elementary school kids, like the camp your son just attended.

Something I learned through twitter, is most IIAC coaches go to/work at camps at D1 schools and pick up contacts that way.  I know UD and Loras picked up kids they met at Iowa State and Northern Illinois camps.  That is a recruiting avenue I was not aware of until just recently.

Just ordered Kickoff 2016.  Looking forward to it.  Only 2 more days to get it at last year's price.

Coe College made the LA Times crossword today.  Clue was 3 spaces ... college in Cedar Rapids.

I saw that back in March Luther hired Mark Kubacki to be their D-Line coach and Recruiting Coordinator: http://stillwatergazette.com/2016/03/13/football-kubacki-joins-football-staff-at-luther-college/

However, after a few months Kubacki returned to St. Thomas. Any idea on what happened?
