The transfer of two Central Dutch players to become Dubuque Spartans will probably increase the GPA of both teams.

:D
Well look at this... UD leads the IIAC for academic all-conference selections the past 5 seasons  ;D

Only at U of Dubuque would 13 be more than 23 (2014-2015)  ::)

And only in Pella would 2014-2015 represent 5 seasons.
Reality is for those who lack imagination 😀

I need to get Walston-Hoover and dutchfan1 back on the board to help me out.  I'm getting too old to make speedy retorts.

Well hello boys! Long time, no post!

Coach Finstock - "There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that and everything else is cream cheese."

Dubuque Telegraph-Herald local preview capsules...

http://www.thonline.com/sports/local_sports/article_e59af3e5-eda2-533f-bf61-5b0434a88029.html

From the article...

Outlook: It's going to be hard for the Spartans to top their performance from Week 1. Conor Feckley threw for 634 yards and eight touchdowns and Najee Toomer caught for 297 yards in a shootout with the Royals. That performance was noted by poll voters. Dubuque is still outside the top-25 but had 12 points in the polls this week. Expect a much more balanced game against Pacific. Dubuque barely escaped Oregon with a 2-point victory in 2015.

And...

Outlook: Two teams looking to get back on track after opening losses. Carthage outscored Aurora, 37-0, in the second half of Week 1 after holding just a 14-11 halftime edge. The Duhawks led Elmhurst, 27-9, entering the fourth quarter before the Bluejays posted 19 straight points to get the win. Loras will need to play cleaner if it wants a non-conference win after turning the ball over five times in its season debut.

Central piling it on Auggie--45-17 with a couple minutes to go.  Explosive 2nd half offense and a stout defense against the run but Auggie found a few holes in the passing attack. Hoping the Dutch can keep it rolling.
Go Dutch and Go IIAC!

Klompen

Congratulations to the Dutch for breaking a close halftime game wide open in the second half.  Congratulations also to Sam Markham for breaking his own record for most receptions in a game.  Riley Gray had a fantastic second half really getting the Dutch offense rolling.  Nice to see a freshman QB come in at the end of the game and have some impressive runs.  Great game for the Dutch heading into the conference season.

There is no such thing as a bad Central win.  But I like them better when I don't see so many open receivers on the other side who make drops or the qb misses.  That said, I will take 2-0 and look forward to the start of conference play.

The first NWU poster will get all of the karma I can ring up. "The more the merrier," is pretty much my motto.
