Oh crap

Maybe we should tell Stan to forfeit. The computers have spoken (but 57% of models favor the Spartans by an average of 1.7 points--home field).

Well then, I guess Mrs Doolittle and I will still travel to Dubuque this weekend

I can't decide for the pick-ems who to choose between Coe and UD for this weekend.  UD beat Central by more, but then we were more generous to UD as well.  I guess my ever ineffective heart would say to go with UD.  Their fans deserve some time at the top, they have more than paid their dues.

Go Dutch, get back on the right track and finish strong.

Dubuque won AT Central by a larger margin than Coe beat Central at home, so I must pick Dubuque to beat Coe.

But Coe won AT NWU by a larger margin than Dubuque beat NWU at home, so obviously I must pick Coe to beat Dubuque

Hmm, I must ponder this further!

As far as Central being generous to Dubuque, perhaps...just perhaps credit should go to the Spartan defense?  3 INTs against Simpson, 2 INTs against Luther, 3 INTs against Central, 4 INTs against NWU.  The Dubuque secondary might just be pretty darn good...and with no seniors in their two deeps at LB and the secondary, the future looks bright  ;)

Spurrier

Why the defense ain't werkin'?

DBQ1965

Trying to decide between UD and Coe?  It's Homecoming for the Spartans ... and every time I show up for Homecoming, UD loses.  When I am absent, UD wins.  So I am taking one for the team and staying away. GO SPARTANS!
Reality is for those who lack imagination 😀

Definitely will agree that DBQ secondary is very good, but Central also put the ball on the ground 3 times, very generous.  But the most telling for this game will be rushing yards, Coe will have plenty, DBQ not so much, hence my choice of a Coe Victory.  Go Dutch

End of the 1st quarter, UD leads Coe 6-0.
Coe offense following the Central lead and being generous. So far the Kohawks have thrown a pick and fumbled once.

Scoreless 3rd quarter. Dubuque leads Coe 12-7

Go Kohawks, let's hold the Spartans the rest of the way.

Great game to watch, I love the interweb.
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

Heitland worked so hard today he scraped the "Coe" off his helmet. I've never seen that happen before.
