Where did all the posters go?  No posts during football season, apparently everyone is disappointed with Coe leading the conference.   Kidding, but where is everyone?  DD must really be in mourning.  He can carry on conversations with himself about stats for days at a time.   :)

There was a full moon this week, what could it lead to?  Central over Wartburg by 50?  Norse shoot down the Kohawks by playing naked and Coe not wanting to tackle them?  Spartans win by 100 because they hear about the Norse and decide to get some Beaver?  Loras and Simpson game goes on until the next full moon because neither team can deliver the knock out punch?

Nah, just bored.  That will end this afternoon.  Go Dutch!

No articles to link to on here.  Not even the Dubuque paper running any stories.  And now we have Mr. Hansen to provide us with stats.  I can spend my time mixing up my bloody mary mix and firing up the lawn mower about 2 hours before kickoff  ;D

We will be at a piano and flute recital this afternoon.  If anyone wants to update scores so I can check in on here that would be great  ;)

I also look to d3football.com ...but their scoreboard isn't always updated in a timely fashion.

Central up 42-14 over the Knights at halftime. Offensive explosion so far and I can only wonder "what if" as I look back at the last few weeks. It's nice to watch offense as suffering through the Iowa games has been brutal. The local high school and our youth football program run a more advanced offense than the Hawks and it's fun when it's the Dutch putting up such big numbers against a big rival. Go Dutch!

So ... I've seen two different outcomes ... one with BV winning in OT and one with UD winning in OT.  Which is it?

The BV  athletics website says UD won in OT ... 42-37.  The  ride back just got a lot shorter.  Nice comeback for the Spartans. ;)

Thanks for the score updates, much appreciated.  Now that we are back home, I think I will watch the on demand videos the conference schools have.

I watched the 1st quarter, 4th quarter, and the 3 OT's of the UD @ BVU game.

Great come from behind road win for the Spartans.  This is a young team, coming off a tough loss the week before, that showed a lot of heart today.

The Beavers have an assistant coach that jumps around, does jumping jacks, waves a towel, yells, and gives high fives on EVERY play, for 3+ hours.  He has to be exhausted after a game.  I even feel like taking a nap now after watching that  ;D

Way to take care of business Kohawks

Send the Seniors off with a win for their last game at K. Ray stadium.

BV is gonna be a handful!

I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

Unexpectedly exciting game in Storm Lake today.  Would have like to have seen BV win and put Central into a tie for second place.  My red tinted shades still have me believing Central is as good as anyone in the conference this year, but bad days against good teams lead to disappointing results.  Wartburg is probably thinking the same thing right now.

Nice to see a dominating performance by the Dutch today.  After Wartburg's first possession, I wondered, but it was all Dutch in command from there.  Would have liked to have seen Central come out in the second half and continue what had been so successful the first half instead of trying to work the clock with a run game.  Too bad Riley didn't get the chance to put that passing TD record out or reach instead of just tying it, but it was an outstanding day for him and Markham who had big passes to about the same place on the field in at least 3 possessions.  Fitzgerald did some nice running again today as well.

If I was a WB fan, I would probably be complaining that the QB was the only one that showed up in Tulip Town for the game.  WB's QB carried the team most of the game to finish as well as they did.  He had an outstanding day and was repeatedly in position for a sack that he somehow managed to avoid more often than not.  He is a gifted athlete.

For awhile there I thought maybe my full moon win by 50 was going to happen...

It would certainly be nice if more schools posted scores in a timely fashion. It's a collective, like the Associated Press.
