I watched the last quarter of the Coe - Monmouth game.  Glad to see the Kohawks hang in right to the end.  I must say, the color commentator for the broadcast was sooo bad.
Reality is for those who lack imagination 😀

Congrats to the Kohawks!  Go IIAC!  Make some noise!

Matt Campbell has a longer win streak at ISU than his alma mater does.

Looking forward to seeing my Tommies face the Kohawks next week. I'll be watching the game from Oregon with my Iowa-native family.

Coe forced 9 turnovers and only scored 21 points??? How does that happen?

Sorry I know nothing about Coe, are they a pass team or a run team is there defense any good?  Just trying to Gage what the Tommie's are up against.

THANKS!

They have an outstanding RB who's a Gagliardi Semifinalist.

Oh! The Toms are over here on this board with their meat softener.
I was wondering.

Good to see Coe in the second round of the playoffs.

Dubuque put up 70 on Bethel...could only manage 12 against Coe.

Chicago Tommie?

Is this Dan Keenan?

St. Thomas basketball great Dan Keenan. How you been.

I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

I guess not.

I am so glad I waited till after I read Adam Turer's article on the the Kohawks before commenting on the Monmouth game. Knowing they practice causing and recovering turnovers makes Coe look a lot less lucky and a lot more capable.
Sitting in the stands was surreal, I looked at my buddy at one point and said we need another fumble recovery and next play we intercepted a pass.
Sometime in the second half, I asked my buddy, "has Monmouth punted yet," they hadn't. I've never seen a team use turnovers as their  defensive stop for the majority of the game.
;D
It was a great game to watch if you were a Coe fan. It must have been maddening to be a Monmouth fan.

Happy Thanksgiving IIAC posters. A quick Turkey Day workout & final prep/cook a couple of birds.

Happy Thanksgiving to one and all.  Congratulations to Coe on the win, keep it going and beat the Tommies!

Congratulations to the Pella High Dutch on winning their 3rd straight state championship.  This was a team that graduated most 2 way players, including the state's football player of the year, the year before.  Yes, the champ is the champ until somebody beats them, but most expected a rebuilding year.  These kids had heart and talent and again have many key seniors that played both ways.  Hopefully next year's team won't stress about keeping the win streak going and will just be able to do what this year's senior class set as an example - believe in yourself and play your best every game.  TLCBF - Trust, Love, Commitment, Belief and Faith.  Go Dutch!
