Coach Finstock - "There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that and everything else is cream cheese."

Teams are back on field getting warmed up. Probably a short half time. Might be dark before this one ends.  Still raining in Decorah.

I believe his greatest legacy comes not in how many football games he won or lost but in the fact that he was a committed follower of Jesus Christ.

BVU QB taken off field on stretcher.  He gave a thumbs up to the crowd.  Looks like he took a knee to the head.

Dubuque leading 34-26 still in the 3rd quarter due to the prior weather delay.

BVU takes a 44-41 lead on UD with 17 seconds left.  I hate to be THAT guy.  But the refs have been beyond embarrassing today.  UD linebacker kicked out for targeting when he put a shoulder into the gut of a BV player.  Defensive holding on UD when the pass sailed 10 yards out of bounds.  UD held BV on 4th and 11 with 40 seconds left in the game and they called UD for a late hit on the QB.  Numerous late hits out of bounds never called against BV.  BV passes thrown to nobody that weren't called for throwing the ball away.

Final score BVU wins 44-41.  Iowa Conference needs to review those refs and make sure they don't get another assignment in this league.  That is just unacceptable for a college football crew.

Does "uncatchable" apply to defensive holding? It's not the same as pass interference and on a quick scan of the rulebook, I don't see the pass being catchable as a prerequisite for defensive holding, just that it has to pass the LOS.

I'll have to watch the replay.  I think it was called pass interference and the announcers were saying if anything it would be holding.

41-38 Luther wins in OT. Norse have found ways to win, NWU is where LC was a few years ago, finding ways not to win. 2nd and 2 in OT and have intentional grounding. Missed 45 yd FG to tie.

Luther are the story of the conference so far this year.  Fun to see them having some success.  I will watch the UD/BVU replay later.  There is a chance, with time to calm down from the heat of the moment, that I will realize the refs weren't as bad as I initially thought  ;)
