Coach Finstock - "There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that and everything else is cream cheese."

With an endowment around $70million, and annual giving around 4-5 million...how exactly will Simpson be able to afford that?

Or, is the reality, there won't be many families with adjusted gross income at or below $60,000 so this just ends up as good press for the school?

Will this piss off families with a gross income of $65,000 knowing a neighbor kid could go to Simpson for significantly less cost?

At this point, this is only for 2018...but could be implemented for additional years.

We had friends that now live out of state that had their child live off campus and dropped to a part time student so he could gain in-state residency status at Iowa State.  Would this work at Simpson?

2014 enrollment 1,412
2017 enrollment 1,295

What are the real figures at other IIAC schools?

Central College Advancing Concussion Research

Quote from: http://kniakrls.com/2017/12/central-college-taking-a-leading-role-in-advancing-concussion-evaluation-for-athletes/Central is the first college or university in the U.S. to serve as a pilot program for the testing tool, developed by Safety in Motion, Inc. (SiM) of Northville, Mich., a company launched by former Ford Motor Company executive and retired attorney Walter Borda.

Guided by medical experts at Henry Ford Health System, a team of former automotive engineers transformed Borda's idea and developed the SiM-1000 portable force plate (www.sim-technologies.com). ... The force plate utilizes auto air bag sensors in a small, portable device intended to take the subjectivity out of concussion evaluation through data-based balance testing. It's powerful, yet small enough to use on a playing-field sideline.

"It will facilitate the ability to measure the athlete's condition through balance evaluation," Borda said. "Balance is one of the pathways that is used in the concussion diagnostic process."

Council Member David Resnick said Dubuquers have approached him about stadiums being too loud during some events.  "To me, and to many neighbors, hours and hours of blaring recorded music is the very definition of annoying," ... this isn't about games, but more about practices and non-sanctioned events, where some people say the music can go on for hours.

In a catholic city...they'll attack the protestant school...especially after that protestant school has beaten the catholic school 7 straight years  ;)
