There's a part of me that would rather be behind the whole game.  Up 17-0 in the 1st quarter gave me hope  ;)

Oh well, still 6 more games to be played.  Take away my sunburn and being attacked by bugs it was a great day to be at a football game.  We had Warthog in our thoughts today as well.  We miss the big guy!

It shows which team came ready to play, but I agree it is really frustrating to lose a game when you had a big lead. We were shocked to see the score come up on display at the Central game, but knew the game was far from over.

Simpson with a nice win. I'll say again, I was impressed with them at the start of the season. I think they can give Central and Wartburg good games.

Simpson gave Central a good game last year, 17-16. Wartburg can have the close game with them this year. I would go so far as to not cry too hard if Simpson beat Wartburg.  :D

Grinnell has cancelled the rest of their season.  Only 39 roster players to start the season.  Down to 28 healthy players now.

That's a bummer for teams scheduled to play them. But honestly, at 28 healthy players, you don't have enough guys for a college football team. You are basically asking for guys to get hurt and it's almost guaranteed that you're playing people out of position just about everywhere.

Congratulations to Blaine Hawkins on being named to the d3football team of the week! He keeps getting better as do his receivers. They worked hard in the off-season and it is paying off.

It's typical for me  when I'm at my kids sporting events to see 4-5 people in conference school gear. Today, for the first time that I've seen, there is a guy here in an American Rivers Conference jacket. A fan of the conference in general? Works for the conference?

Wow, that would be a huge change. I am still trying to wrap my head around the idea of the MIAC without the Tommies in it.

Dubuque leads Coe 7-0 at halftime.

Coe spent the entire 2nd quarter in UD territory.  Missed a FG attempt, turned the ball over on downs, threw an INT in the endzone.

Dupuke up 7-0 at half   ;)

C'mon Kohakws, make the necessary adjustments and bring this one home.
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

The burger burglars are up only eight with 14:00  to go in the 4th quarter. They should be down by 6 but they intercepted in the endzone then drove for a score.

GO BEAVERS!

Nevermind, the wheels just came off.

Beavers fumble on the their five, Wartburg scores 14 in 18 seconds.
