The SCIAC board was locked for everyone, not just you, and not because of something you did. :)

Thanks for letting me know.   Keep up the good work with the prospects of a football-less Fall.

Appreciate that. I ... hope we are around the next time D-III football gets played!

I'd like to second that from DBQ1965, Pat.  You and your staff do a fantastic job and I, too, hope that you will be able to continue on through and beyond the fall if the NCAA cancels the football season.  Thanks.

19 Saturdays until ARC football returns?
Coach Finstock - "There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that and everything else is cream cheese."

The headline in this weekend's Exchange section of the Wall Street Journal says, "A $1 Billion Problem Is Brewing" Sub-headline, "March Madness was cancelled, St. Patrick's Day was a bust. Baseball is on hiatus. That leaves one million kegs of beer with no one to drink them-and creates an unprecedented problem for a host of industries. "  I will read the article later but I am hoping that the price will go negative like oil and someone will pay me to drink the beer.

Generally the type of beer that is sold at those events (or sold in kegs) is not really the type that I would go for first.

I have never been accused of being fussy.

The ARC has a podcast.  Episodes 3-11 have been conversations with the AD's at each of the schools.  Some interesting listening if you have the time.

Kohawk Nation

Thoughts and prayers to the entire Staker family.  Kohawk Nation lost an Iowa coaching legend and a wonderful human being.  I had the privilege of playing with Tyler, and Steve was the DC while I was there.  The passion that their entire family shares for the game of football and developing young men far beyond the football field is what makes this game so great.  You will be missed coach.

Tough deal, great to see the community come out in a show of love and support though. One of the best parts about small town and small college experience is the way the community rallies around each other.

Our hearts go out to the Staker and Kohawk families, and thankful we still have John Campbell to put together such a great tribute for them.

Just too bad that Coe didn't hire him a year after Lance got their after Thurness left. Both Cody and Lance were at Coe then. That is when the legend should have begun! However, Fredricksburg would have been cheated if that happened, so thank goodness we were able to get him when we did.

Big loss to Coe

just to clairfy, this is a chat board and I am just pontificating cause I did not care for D.J. Leroy.  Raeburn was a good cat, but he looked at Coe as a stepping stone.
What if Steve came to Coe back in '89, Coe would be up with St. John's, Whitewater, Oshkosh, and dare I say the burger burglars in national recognition and discussion.
Agaiin, however, Fredricksburg probably needed him more.
At least his son in law and son are still at Coe to keep his influence alive!

My thoughts are with his wife, she is a pretty amazing woman from what I have observed from afar.
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!
