Luther revises 2020-21 academic calendar

Luther College's 2020-21 academic calendar will include:

• September Term (four weeks; one course) for first year students only
• First Fall Quarter (seven weeks; two courses)
• Second Fall Quarter (seven weeks; two courses)
• Spring Semester (15 weeks; four courses)
• June Term (four weeks; one course) with a focus on study-away opportunities

Pending a decision by the American Rivers Conference, fall athletes will also return to campus but sophomore, junior and senior athletes will take classes virtually. All other students will participate in online courses, internships and potentially low-residency courses in Rochester, MN while residing off campus.

Surprised to see BV president resigning immediately. That is unusual, but not going to read too much into it given the virus. Everything normal has been out the window for this year anyway.

Thrilled to hear that for now athletics is a go. Now get out there and find a practice buddy at home guys. If the sports do go on, will we be watching in the stands or online? As one of the few loud Central fans I should have early priority on a seat in the stands!

Central has scheduled commencement ceremonies for the Sunday of homecoming weekend. They have also started scheduling in person visits to campus.

I have some relation in the Storm Lake area, and the word around the water cooler was there was an "inappropriate extra-marital relationship with a non-student on campus"  Not trying to spread rumors, just letting you know what is being said in the area.
