Someone please check my math but did Central outscore defending National Champion North Central by 10 against Wheaton?

Sure did, but Wheaton also scored 21 more points against Central than they did against NCC.  ;) I know you're just being tongue in cheek, but I think this is a classic example of a conference rivalry game where the two opponents know one another so well that total pts and differential isn't that helpful.

Praise God from whom all blessings flow! What a game! Didn't get my 41 points, but nailed the 28 for Wheaton. Quite a turnaround from 2 years ago. Ryan made a pretty accurate prediction. Didn't get my point spread, but won the game. Still worth $100. It will be coming Pat!

Congratulations to Central on their win!  I listened to the first 3 quarters and then turned it off as the NCC-UWL game pulled within 1 score.  I hope the game is still available online as I would love to watch it in its entirety.

Schipper, I would like to propose a modification to our bet.  I'll cover the $100 to D3 if you are willing to supply my friends and I will homemade Dutch letters at the championship game if Central and North Central make it there.  Deal?
You are the best! You've got it! Thank you kind sir. Such a generous gentleman.

I just sent the donation to D3.  I can almost taste those Dutch letters already...

Thank you for this!

Saturday the Dutch take on UWW on the road. Will miss the friendly confines of home. Guess we can't out yell/scream 13,000 Warhawk fans this weekend. Hotels seem to be pretty full there and in Janesville. Beloit is fine. Time for the Dutch to take another big step. Hope some of the injured players can be back.

It'll be more like 2-3k at whitewater. Because of the weather, holiday plans, hunting season and lack of free tickets (NCAA event), our post season attendance is typically a fraction of the regular season.

This past weekend I think we had 1200 at the game.

Yeah, what hazz said.

Should be a very good game. Whitewater is very similar to Wheaton (strong defense and a good running game), but with also a potent passing attack to balance our running game.

LaCrosse/Whitewater falls in that same category

If adjusting to 5 Regions was a puzzle for some, what will you do with 10 Regions in D3 basketball?  And ... Go Dutch.
Reality is for those who lack imagination 😀

Glad to hear that! 2-3k is still plenty.

The Dutch are up for the win again this weekend. Won't be as nice as playing at home, but I guess we need 3 more wins and another great season to play at home all the way to the championship. So Whitewater is the juggernaut team of the week. So time to put some favorable perspective on it. Yes, that is my way of saying this is going to favor my favorite team. You should expect that by now. In 2019 it took OT, but Central beat OshKosh. You know who didn't beat them in 2019? Whitewater. Central, as I have often pointed out, outscored conference opponents by 34 point more this year than in 2019. Oh that's right, this is when they all say that the ARC, except for Central, was down this year. We really weren't better, all the other teams were worse. So throw that out. All non Central fans can stop reading right here.

So central fans, or team, since I am the only consistent Central fan posting. Are you still with me? Good! In 2019 we lost to Wheaton by a painful 36 points. Saturday we won by 2, which we know could have been 3, but wasn't worth trying when you had the win on the scoreboard. So that's a 38 point improvement over a non conference opponent. Maybe they missed that little detail. To be fair, Whitewater did beat UWO this year. Instead of losing by 7 they won by 19, a 26 point swing. Not sure of my prediction yet, 38-26? I don't know yet, but I believe we can do it.

02 Warhawk

One key component to your argument you're leaving out. That big Wheaton win over Central was in Wheaton. The Central win vs Wheaton was in Iowa. The '19 Central win vs UWO was also in Iowa. The '19 UWO win over UWW was in 0shkosh

This week's game is in Whitewater....see what I'm getting at here?  ;)

UWW will be healthy and well rested. Hopefully Central can get healthy this week, looks liked they battled through some key injuries against Wheaton.

Should be a great game.

02 Warhawk does have a point. We are leaving the friendly confines of Schipper Stadium. I went to the UWW website and looked at their long and gaudy list of playoff wins. Definitely something to be proud of accomplishing. Tons of playoff wins in their friendly confines of home. It really was impressive. Tons of home games, tons of wins at home in the playoffs. In fact Whitewater has only lost four playoff games at home. Takes a really special team to accomplish that rare event. Congratulations to the four teams that have done it: John Carroll, Simpson, St Thomas and CENTRAL. Go Dutch!

The current senior class is 26-0 at the Perk.
The current Head Coach is 42-1 at the Perk.

So there's that...

Time for those seniors to get a taste of reality before they head out the door.  :)

They need to get used to the idea of being more hospitable. They are nervous. Can't blame them. Number one offense coming to town.
