Time for those seniors to get a taste of reality before they head out the door.  :)

Which team's seniors?

Whitewater by 19.  This ain't the ARC.

I'll take that bet. Central +19

Remove that 1 and I think that's a good line.

+19 seems a little much, even with their bloated 174th ranked SOS.

Hansen Ratings has then at +6, which seems a little more accurate to me.

I could be wrong, I'm always under estimating my Hawks. But we'll see.

Some people have under-estimated Central so far in the play-offs.

I'm not sure there is a more useless metric than SOS. It has limited/no credibility as currently constructed.

Central will continue to be under estimated. Who cares? They have a clear path to change that perception. If they win out with this bracket, there will be no argument about their quality.

They need to get used to the idea of being more hospitable. They are nervous. Can't blame them. Number one offense coming to town.

I once used to try to figure out how to interpret bravado from fans from another team. I've learned over the years it doesn't usually work out real well for them.  See ya' Saturday. Looking forward to hearing how you feel about our team after seeing them in person.

Not at all saying UWW is for sure going to win - b/c Central absolutely has a solid chance - but if I had a Nickle for every time we've heard opposing fans talk about their team being "different" in some capacity, only to fall short.....I could have a second home somewhere.

I have no dog in this matchup, and am not surprised to see that these two teams have progressed to December.

Whitewater is not Wheaton/Bethel.  Especially when you are looking at a road game.

If Central is down 6 and has the ball with at least 2 minutes left in the game, I'll give you 6.5.

Lol. Fair enough.

Just don't score too fast. UWW can get down the field in a hurry as well.  ;)

Oh trust me, I have a ton of respect for Whitewater. I know they are an incredible team. I don't doubt that at all. As I said last week when most said Central couldn't make up the difference against Wheaton. Would not be much fun to believe we were going to lose. I know we are in for a battle Saturday. I did not go to WW the last two times we were there. This year I feel it is worth the trip.

When you say, "not Wheaton," do you mean not the team whose only loss was by barely 2 scores against the defending national champs? They were a long way from home but it looks to me like North Central beat UWW twice as bad as they did Wheaton?

I think Kiko is taking a longer view of things than you are.  You are putting all stock in evaluating UW-W in one result. He is looking at the sustained success of the program over a longer period of time. We will find out Saturday which approach was correct.  When looking at 2021, UW-W does have  areas of their team that is stronger than Wheaton this year.

If they added the last two games and re-figured strength of schedule and then re-ranked the bracket, the Warhawks would probably get a trip to Pella.
