34-14 KOHAWKS!  ;D

I'd write more details about the game but i'm still drying out my clothes

Did I see that UD-Loras score right?  Did the Spartans pull off a 20-18 win?  If so, I'm all for it.

Sounds like Central and Coe both won.  Allegedly Wartburg beat Cornell 26-21.  It might just be me, but I'd say its fairly ludicrous that the results of today's Wartburg athletic events (football, cross country, soccer) were posted on the sign board up at Joe's KnightHawk before I saw them on the Wartburg athletic website.

Notice I don't say that Dubuque is the worst team they just, right now, have the  worst record.  They have some talent on that team.  I'll bet they get a win in the conference this year, and I'm saying that without knowing their remaining schedule.

I knew you had it in ya!  Way to go Dubuque
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

CONGRATS TO THE SPARTANS.  LONG ENOUGH WAIT FOR AN IIAC WIN.  Congrats to the Kohawks on their win over Simpson and automatic playoff invitation.  Congrats to Cornell on the effort in their game.

Having been a Cub fan since I was a child, I am familiar with the term,"Wait until next year!"

Good luck Coe and Central

Yesterday's inactivity on this board had me worried that it might be the calm before the Storm. But the Kohawks left no doubt today! That was another awesome performance against one of the league's best defenses!

Neil Suckow earned MVP consideration with his second consecutive two TD performance against the league's stingiest defense. You want big play capability? He showed it running through the middle of the Simpson defense on his way to a 99-yard touchdown.

With 43 touchdowns in his first two seasons -- 20 this year -- he matched the legendary Carey Bender. He's not even his team's leading rusher or receiver, but he is clearly the league's most valuable player.

Congratulations also to the co-champs Central. If the playoff selection committee treats us right, the IIAC could make some noise in the playoffs.

Hats off also to Dubuque for beating Loras and Cornell for taking Wartburg to the wire.

8 NCAA football playoff appearances
13 straight wins over Cornell in the oldest football rivalry west of the Mississippi

The Coe offense put up some big numbers today.  Needless to say their defense turned in another outstanding day.......they have been the best defense in the league week in and week out.
Congrats to the Coe coaches and players.....you guys have a lot of class.

We'll see how their defense does against playoff opponents.  The Iowa Conference doesn't have any high powered offensive attacks for them to go against.

Message to Andy Tekippe:  You won't be able to throw two picks in the playoffs and win the game.

Coe plays at Concordia-Moorhead, but they're in the same bracket as Linfield. Oh Joy.

Central at UW-Whitewater as well.

Congrats IIAC on two teams in the post season!

Both Coe and Central will have their seasons end on that sacred plot of Oregon ground they call the Catdome.  (Translation: IIAC teams will win some games in the playoffs) :D

Great job Coe and Central!  Both teams seem to be playing some darn good football late in the season.  Lets hope they keep it up and get the IIAC some W's in the playoffs.

Well, what a weekend huh, after thinking this through on how to deal with the Loras loss to UD  I have decided to congratulate UD for the win.  FINALLY!!! this game can possilble start meaning something every year instead of just all hype with the same results. Ive been saying this for years, in order to have a true rivalry you need both teams winning.  I cant wait for next year and how that game turns out now.  Now instead of straining to try and remember a game that happend before i turned 1 year old(1981), we can look at 2005 and say they beat us and that pisses us off.  Could be a good thing for the future.

On another note, congrats to Central and Coe for getting spots in the playoffs, play well, play together and you shouldnt have many problems, Good Luck,  lata.
Ok Ok ok lets just take this one foot at a time.....
