Well that is interesting, anyone else notice that everyone's Karma went down two points last night.  Looks like people are out for us in the IIAC.  Oh well, whatever, nevermind.
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

How does the karma thing work anyway  ???

Picks for the week:

Cornell over BV         20-7

Luther over Dubuque    28-24

Coe over Loras         40-17

Central over Wartburg      27-14

Games look pretty straight forward this week.  By the way, I'm also pretty sure BV and Cornell have 3 wins between the two of them, not one.  If you were off by one, it could be considered an honest mistake but no.  My only thing is if you want to complain about something at least be right about it.  If we're all making things up I could go off and tell you that humanity is really just a bunch of lost alien souls sent here from a far away galaxy.  Oops, I forgot, thats scientology.
Terrell Owens was asked for one word to describe himself. He said "confident." When asked for another word he said "very."

Not real sure where you're going with that Alien thing, but Cornell and BV share two wins between them. Just thought I'd bring that up.

Well I guess it only took 3 people to figure that one out.....and I just dont like scientology.

Dutchie,
Nice job tracking the stats. I'll take a 19-5/7-1 start. Wish I could do that in Vegas.

Quote from: coocooforcoekohawk on September 24, 2006, 06:44:14 AMI thought the radio guys did an excellent job!  The color commentator had a wealth of knowledge about not only the kohawks, but the entire Iowa conference.  I wonder where he gets so much information.  Could it be D3.com.

I hope so. It's been done before, although just being around a lot of years helps too. And SIDs notes & the conference package. :)

I must say that when I opened up D3football.com this afternoon and looked at the front page and saw an article about Cornell and BV trying to stop their losing streaks, I was disgusted.  The IIAC works very hard for respect and recognition around the country.  In a week where Central and Wartburg (arguably the two most successful programs in IIAC history) are playing each other, the first thing that people see about our conference is two teams that have 1 win between them.  Does this peeve anyone else?

Why aren't we writing articles about a top twenty five team hosting a team that has received votes and has a number of championships in recent years?

No offense to Cornell or BV, but I'd much rather people that check this site know about the nationally meaningful games, not a game that reminds me of the "Bush bowl" in the NFL from a year ago.  Correct me if I'm wrong...

1. If you're patient, your big-game props will come.

2. Much more often than not, D3football.com is shining light on the good in D3 ... But if we're not telling the entire story, people won't respect us as a news source. If we're pretending losing, etc. doesn't exist, it takes the perspective off the good things we say, so I think it's important to also deal with the not-so-sunny side of things sometimes. We probably don't do it enough, to be honest.

Correct me if I'm wrong...

You are wrong to be peeved at D3.com or Pat, your ire should be directed at Cornell who made the press release.  D3.com simply provides us with all division III press releases.  Again this article originated from Cornell and Pat is just doing his job by printing all football related press releases from all colleges in division III.

Oh yeah, this too.

Does anybody know if Mills will be starting this week? I know he's  supposed to play this week but I didnt know how many reps he was going to get.  Also is Newmeister supposed to be back?
Cornell needs to get back some of the pride and fire that they played with during their first two games, this is a talented football team and they are much better than they played the last two weeks.

Congratulations to Coe defensive end Adam Jordison on his most-deserving selection to the D3football.com Team of the Week. He seemed to be in the backfield all day long. There was one series in particular that could make a highlight reel. I imagine we'll see something along those lines at this week's Quarterback Club.
4 IIAC football championships
8 NCAA football playoff appearances
13 straight wins over Cornell in the oldest football rivalry west of the Mississippi

The Luther cheerleader that was taken in an ambulance before Saturday's game should be released today, according to the Waterloo Courier.

Walston,

I think that the lines on the games are pretty close.  Might increase the Coe game to 13-13.5 I just think that Coe would be at least a two touchdown favorite.
