DF1- please ignore my comments earlier. You, who have never played college football before DO know more then most of us that have played. The difference is, although you support the dutch faithfully, you still can offer unbiased and insightful information into the world of D3 football.

Charlie,

Does this count, Willie?

Relax big shooter, we all know you will, when you will, how you will, what you will, why you will and none of it WILL really amount to much other then COE is the almighty, no other school can compare and I, charlie kohawk, who never played college football, know it all.

Willie U

Willie University

Damn. Guess I should take back this entire site, seeing as I never played college football either.

Shoot, the commissioner of the NFL never played college football. Guess he should disband the league.

Similarly, only those who played college football should be allowed to go to games. It would be awful quiet, though.

Truth be told, I didn't play high school football even. SO WHAT? Bottom line is the Spartan faithful are clinging to a third place tie with a team that beat them by two touchdowns. Third isn't good enough in Kohawk Nation. Apparently it's cause for a parade in Dubuque.
4 IIAC football championships
8 NCAA football playoff appearances
13 straight wins over Cornell in the oldest football rivalry west of the Mississippi

When a team wins 3 conference games in 5 years and then wins 5 in one season I think that is cause to be happy with your results.  If you support a team that has been consistently down and then has a good year you can want that parade you talk about.  If you support a team that is consistently challenging for conference championships and then has a down year, as supporters you can feel a bit let down.

Telling Dubuque fans they shouldn't claim to have finished in 3rd place because Coe had beat them during the season is a bit interesting.  I am willing to bet Coe fans have no problem saying Coe were IIAC champs in 2002, 2004, and 2005 when in those seasons they shared the title with other conference teams.

Anybody else willing to throw in $5 to see Charlie and Willie go at it in a steel cage?

Pat, I wondered if you read what you quoted? As you can I see, I rephrased my comments to include some of those people that offer much to football that have never played. It just so happens in my humble opinion, charlie kohawk is and has never been one of those people.

I read it and it came across as total and complete sarcasm. And considering the last sentence of this post of yours I'm quoting here, it's pretty easy to see why.

Well, being the inventor of post patterns, you should understand that sometimes things written are taken out of context. You took my statement out of context. No sarcasm was intended nor do I understand how you really could have thought that? However, you are correct about the last line regarding Charlie Kohawk ONLY.

I do find it funny how a couple people find it necessary to come to charlie's defense when HE was the one that opened his beak first with the sarcasm.

Wow -- miss a few days and you miss a lot!! Seriously, this is the off-season -- I don't think this board was this exciting DURING the season.

Big Willie, no offense taken. :)
