I stopped in Ames on more than 1 occassion this spring and am heading up to Winona for their spring game this weekend.
If you have the urge sometime in May, Wartburg will be practicing.

If I am able to schedule anything north of Waterloo in May I will probably stop in on a Wartburg practice.  I'm so ready for football I've been looking up clips on youtube.

Kohawk Krazy

The webcam on Clark Field is up and running.  Should be fun to watch the progress of the new field...

Awesome -- thanks for the link!

Do any of the Kohawk alum know if the plans include bleachers for the visitors?? :D

I was impressed and moved by the letter Wartburg President, Jack Ohle, e-mailed to the Wartburg family concerning the events at Virginia Tech.  Here I sit in Iowa with only 2 degrees of separation from someone who was a victim of this senseless tragedy.  :'(

The current condition of Clark Field looks pretty similar to how it looked on most game days.  Sorry, that was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the webcam.  Looks like both Eby and Clark will be pretty nice by next season.

Just so we don't go too long without a post on the IIAC side of things.  Dubuque has some pictures of the demolition of the football stadium on their site, plus you can click on the right of the screen for the construction webcam.

ALright, Wartburg's got some new pics up now too. Can't see much more than a wall from the webcam though.

Thank you very much WH.  Now I've got..."All in all it's just another brick in the wall"...stuck in my head.  I'll have to see if I can find any of my old Pink Floyd cd's lying around the house.

Does anyone actually listen to that album without being.....chemically enhanced? :D

This isn't d3 related, but it's not the 1st post on here to not follow those guidelines.

Walston, I know you're a big hawkeye fan, so I thought I'd share.
Here's a Cliff Claven "little known fact" for you: I found this on the Register's website which lists every one of their all state teams from way  back when...

"Roots of greatness

To talk about football players from Iowa is to talk about legends. Among them, Jay Berwanger of Dubuque, the first winner of the Heisman trophy ... Elmer Layden of Davenport, one of Notre Dame's Four Horsemen ... Aubrey Devine, Iowa's first all-American. "

Aubrey was my great, great Uncle and he played with his brother(Glenn) my Great Grandfather.
Aubrey was the QB and kicker,  Glenn was a halfback..and that's the rest of the story
