Central 8th and Wartburg 25th.  Looks like the West is loaded again.

Far as my move to Pella, my place will be easy to find because it'll probably be the only one in the county with an Irish flag out front.

Sportsknight thanks for the help but I think you better check the rankings again.  People may think you have turned red already.  Central is only #8.

With the rankings out congrats to the Knights.  I hope we are both at the same spot or higher when we meet in November.  I was somewhat surprised that Coe didn't get some votes.

With Coe returning both Qb's and Suchow I don't think their offense will be down to far.  Having said that I do realize that they lost most of the line they had so maybe that had something to do with it.

Never a math major...and it shows.  In fact its been more than 5 years since I actually took a math class.  That seems strange to say.

As for Coe, I'm not really shocked they didn't get any votes.  Despite what they have back, if they were going to make any noise, it would have been last year when they had both Wartburg and Central at home.

PS - Coe may need to look over the football schedule on their website.  There's an exclamation mark next to Dubuque to indicate that its the Homecoming game, but no other markings.  Kinda weird.  Its like they're saying "Yay!  We scheduled the Spartans for Homecoming!  Hopefully they don't come down here and beat us on our home field again."

And speaking of IIAC websites...Luther shows that Waldorf is a conference game while Loras shows as a non-conference game.  Unless they know something I don't!!!

Congrats S'Knight.  Here is some news about a former Knight and WTV sports anchor J. Hines. He doing what he does best...eating.

From an e-mail I received  "Just thought I would let you know, I won the 2nd Annual Hot Dog Eating Contest at WKBT-TV in La Crosse on July 5th.  .

Tonight, I was in a burrito eating contest at the LaCrosse Logger's game (same league as the Waterloo Bucks).  I had them announce my 2004 Joe's Knighthawk Burrito Eating Champion title.  I came in second by just a bit or two.  If any video is posted on the website or if I post some on the internet I will let you know.

I believe his greatest legacy comes not in how many football games he won or lost but in the fact that he was a committed follower of Jesus Christ.

Doolittledog,

They must have changed it already.  I just looked at both the web sites and they don't list them as conference games.  The Loras schedule does not show that they play Waldorf.  Were there adult bevies at your disposal when you were looking at this?

He's not talking about Loras' schedule.

Sorry, I suppose I could have wrote a bit better.  On the Luther website they list their game against Waldorf as a conference game and Luthers game against Loras as a non-con.

There were adult bevies at my disposal...i just didn't embibe in any of them!!!

Edit:  And now I see Luther has corrected their schedule...I wonder if they saw my post and then changed it?!?!

That could be Doolittle.  Sorry for the misunderstanding.  I took it wrong.  I have found that the web sites sometimes don't get proof read very well.  I think much of the data is entered by work study students and they give the attention to detail that they should.  Have seen other mistakes in other IIAC web sites.  The eventually get fixed.

Long time reader, first time user.
Coe has some comming back in the skilled positons, but obviously lost a ton on the line (literally) losing 4 of 5 starters, but with TeKippe and Suckow coming back, as well as a solid defense they should do pretty good.
sportknight: coe was beat at dbq not at home, and it is only an indicator that it is homecoming, nothing more.

Welcome to the board T_M_E  ...or at least welcome to POSTING on the board...since you've been here awhile.

Hey everyone, I too am a first time poster but a long time reader.  In the spirit of pre-season I was wondering if anyone cared to offer their pre-season all-conference team(s)?
