Say what you want about the Dubuque non-league opponents...

The Spartans rolled them up the way good teams should.

We'll see how they respond to some of the tougher defenses in the IIAC but they are a team that you better have your "A" game prepared for.

All phases of the game were clicking for the Kohawks today. Tekippe looked like his old self, completing 27 of 38 for 328 yards. Wagner looked good as Northern's replacement, running downhill for 80+ yards, plus 80+ receiving. Big receiving day for the freshman Ratchford.

Rousa was perfect on three field goals and four extra points. Hemeseth looked good punting.

The defense was dominant again. Coe's d-line controlled the line of scrimmage. Let the conference season begin.
