Schools are cancelled for the week.  They have not decided yet on Friday night HS football or SDSU on Saturday or the Chargers on Sunday.  Qualcomm Stadium (home to the SDSU Aztecs and Chargers) is an evacuation center temporary home to over 10,000 people.

Among the evacuees are Tony Gwynn, LaDainian Tomlinson and Iowa's own (and current SDSU Head Coach) Chuck Long...though I have no information that they are living at Qualcomm for the moment...yeah right.

I think LT and Tony Gwynn are probably staying at PETCO Park, trying to avoid the crowds... ;)

In all seriousness though, I am glad to hear that things are ok for you Heys.  We will keep sending good karma your way... :)

I will set the record straight with how the Evil Empire started since my roommates and myself were the ones who started it.  We did it as a way to sort of protest since we werent happy with the fact that we were getting kicked out of the dorms for having a little to much fun.

We took it to the next level with having that be our IM team name for the next two years and creating officers.  We had GM and a talent scout the whole bit....had a bit of a dyansty going winning or getting second in just about every IM sport.  We then sold another batch of shirts our senior year for HC and had everyone wear them to the game that had them.  We passed the EE down to another group of guys and after that I dont know what happened to IM Evil Empire but I think it is funny that Wartburg athletics has been tagged as the Evil Empire.

So I hope that clears that up.

Here is an article that was in the Wartburg Trumpet about the EE

Does that make WartTrainer the Emperor  ???

I wasn't close enough to hear what was said, but I'm certain Raeburn wasn't offering summer work roofing his house.  ;D

Low blow Charlie!!  Bitterness that Suckow dominated his old team?

So I got some more information about Coe from Saturday. This crap is unbelievable. If your coach has more class on his ring finger than our program, maybe he should try passing some of that along to a woman who is VERY close to their program yelling f-bombs at the game manager as he was escorting Coe to their lockerroom at halftime on Saturday.
Can't blame Suckow for wanting to get away from that.

My friend told me that his aunt was told by her florist that her neighbor knows for a fact that Koelher actually begged Neil Suckow to come to Wartburg while on his roof.  The conversation happened near the chimney where the Directv dish is.  The whole conversation was bounced off the dish into the garage of the neighbor of the aunts florist.  That is where the neighbor of the aunts florist's twelve year old daughter heard the whole thing.

Walston you are an idiot.
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

I've never had to go that far back and I'm pretty sure my track record on here for accuracy speaks for itself. None of you wanted to believe that Neil would leave your beloved Coe for the Evil Empire and now you have a hard time believing that your coach and a certain woman closely associated with the program can't take getting beat and leave it at that.
I'm sure Koehler was thinking way ahead last January or February when he hired Steege Construction to build his house. You know, if they can hire Suckow to work for them and he happens to be on the crew that builds my house, maybe he will see how wonderful of town Waverly is and ask me if he can transfer here to get away from Coe. After seeing what happens with your own head coach, I can't blame him for wanting to get away. Heck your own head coach is trying to get away but can't find a job anywhere else. After a loss next week to Luther, I have a hard time believing anyone else but Loras is going to want to hire a coach that is 6-4.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

Say has anyone heard that Hall is out for Loras?  I am pondering my picks for the pickem board and I don't think Loras has a chance without him.  Also pondering the Coe/Luther game.  Is Sherden full strength?  If not then the edge goes to Coe.
