TME-I fully understand being pissed after a loss-believe me I've been there, but how can that be blamed on another school's coach that just kicked your you-know-what?
Avoiding the opposing coach is, to borrow an overused term, not classy in the least.
Raeburn and Willis had no love lost between them. Went back to a game a few years ago where when Wartburg was downing the ball at the end of the game, a Coe DL took a shot at the QB and Willis called Raeburn out on it. Don't know if it went back before then, but it came to a head then.
Wartburg may be Coe's rival, but that doesn't go both ways. Luther is a rival. Central may be a little bit.
Augsburg is a rival because of ra'slin.
You are rivals with Cornell and forever will be associated with them.  ;D That, my friends, is smack talk at its finest.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

Guess its time to chime in.  First off, WH probably knows more about the Wartburg program than anybody here (and maybe some current players), so when he gets info that he says is credible about an incident, I believe it.  Sure, Kohawks, it may be difficult to imagine that your head coach would be that much of a dick, but as I remember it, you guys were pretty dismissive when the Suckow transfer talk started up a couple months back.
Secondly, I was standing along the "exit" that Coe was led through at halftime.  I didn't see anything happening before the team was led out, save for some Wartburg athletic staffers moving Knights fans out of the way so the Coe kids could get through.  But when Coe made it out of the area, I saw a woman wearing a bunch of Coe gear talking to one of the Wartburg staffers.  I didn't recognize her, and the conversation didn't look very heated, but I may have been catching the back end of it.  She did seem pretty frustrated when she walked away, but I just assumed that was due to the way Coe was playing at that poing.
Third, you Coe folks can say what you want about Willis and Koehler being whatever, but I've never once seen either of them refuse to shake another coach's hand after a game, including some pretty tough losses.  Being rivals is one thing, but showing disrespect like that is just BS.  If the Good Lord ever blesses me with a child, there's no way I'll let them be an athlete at Coe, because due to some of the things I've heard about Coe's coaches (past and present), I'd never be able to trust a one of 'em.

Catch Walston and Sportsknight this fall on Saturday morning cartoons.  Their show starts next Saturday.  It's called;

The Ambiguous Posting Duo

Feel free to throw out an actual fact anytime.  I am tired of references like, certain women close to Coe, or stories I've heard about the coaches.  Tell us who, what, where, when.  Until then I say, whatever, nevermind.
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

doolittle,

Nice to see you back.  I thought you have been pretty silent.  Maybe that flu did you in.  Nice to see that you are among the living.  + k for the way back machine comment.  I loved that cartoon for the life of me I can not recall the name.  It was on rocky and bulwinkle wasnt it.  The dog and his boy.  Sherman was the boy I believe.

Yes, that was during the Rocky and Bulwinkle show it was Sherman and Mr. Peabody.  Some of the best cartoons ever made up to that point.

Well, I for one hope that Simpson leaves their foul mouthed women home and that their coach is caught on video shaking hands nicely after the game. I'd hate to go through this again next week.

That isn't creative, hardly funny, and once again you are ambiguous.

Thunderbolt,

That was a good thought.  I for one never liked a woman who can cuss like a sailor.  Call me old fashioned.

I know it's better to not stick your noses in other people's arguments but I just wanted to thank the wartburg and coe faithful for making me laugh during stressful days at work. Sincerely, this post board has been entertaining this week!

I wonder how this conversation would be going if Coe won? I am sure CK and Coocoo would just be tearing into walston and the other wartburg faithful and I am sure that suckow would be getting an ear full as well. But, as it is, wartburg won and suckow had a great game--end of story.

As for the roof incident leading to suckow's transfer. If he was completely happy at Coe and had close ties to Raeburn, he wouldn't have left no matter what his summer job was. The fact of the matter is he must not have been happy there for some reason and that is why he left.

As for not shaking hands and this has nothing to do with what I think of raeburn or any other coach. IF he did not do that and I say IF because I did not witness it, he should be ASHAMED of himself and he should have personally called Koehler this week and apologized once he came to his senses and calmed down. You want to talk about a disciplined and sportsmanlike program? That is the most unsportsmanlike act that he could have done and I would be saying that even if it was my own coach that had done it. Sure, he got beat and he was pissed about suckow situation but suck it up, shake hands in defeat, and then work your tail off to win next time and then the next hand shake when you look him in the eye, you will have redeemed yourself and your program. What, is he only going to shake hands if he wins?

Non of this nonsense about who heard what from who is credible regardless of who the random person posting behind a name is unless they are willing to cite some sources. Until then I assume everything on here is hearsay (however the hell its spelled). I dont care if WH is is Koehler himself!

Oh and no offense to Augsburg, I just want to rib on Wartburg some...but they are too busy bickering about who said what, its like Im back in the 5th grade surrounded by a group of girls.
