doolittle,

I do give the edge to the Spartans this week.  I think that they have the group of players to win, but I am just not sure who to pick.  These games are won sometimes on pure emotion.  I am glad this is not Friday yet I still have some time to ponder.   ;D

Loras has been in as many close games this year as Central.  One team is 8-0 and one is 2-6.  A bounce here or there and Loras could at least have a Luther like record right now.  I think the Spartans bounce back this weekend though.

Coocoo... as if your random sitcom and cartoon titles are in the least bit humorous.  You are slamming yourself saying that an imitation of the same thing isn't funny.

It must be tough for Coe having come so close to the brink of being a perennial powerhouse in the conference only to slip seemingly so far.  The difference between Wartburg losing a player like Suckow and Coe losing Suckow is that Wartburg would've had another player to stick in his place and fill the gap AND they would've come into that game and NOT let Coe beat them, no matter where the game was played and what the situation.  Coe did not do that.  In fact, they got humiliated.  It just so happened that the player doing the spanking was Suckow.

I wasn't at the game either, so again, can't comment on Raeburn or crazy fans or anything like that... but I echo other comments on the board.  Shaking hands is a show of dignity and respect for the better team on the day.  If it didn't happen, Raeburn should not think well of himself.

WH, SK... I guess the critics are too many on the board, and since you 2 are too good of guys to throw your sources on the tracks, you might as well not comment on hearsay around this message board.  We all know that a great journalist for a publication like the Gazette would never keep the identity of a source secret for the protection of said source, so you aren't going to win.

Then I guess you don't know humor when you see it.

coocoo,

That was a real Dear Abby moment.  Have you ever thought about writing for a publication.  +k I nearly split a gut laughing at that.

I guess you can't laugh about what is close to you, or probably about anything about yourself.  I find those types of people to be sad, I hope your not one of those types of people.
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

How do the Loras and B.V. fans think about Coach Osterberger and the Beaver and Duhawk programs two years into the switch?

I think that for the beavers and the doohawks that it was a good move(though the records may indicate otherwise .  :)) Ostey grew up in the area and when he was resigning from B.V. he talked about how he wanted to return to Loras( the area he grew up) one day. I feel that for him and both schools it will be for the best in the long run.

Well, I for one hope that Simpson leaves their foul mouthed women home and that their coach is caught on video shaking hands nicely after the game. I'd hate to go through this again next week.

No foul mouthed Simpson women will be at the game.  I'll be there but I don't talk that way!   :)  Trust me when I say that Niemann will shake hands regardless of the outcome - despite how I feel about him as a coach, he is a nice guy, shows a lot of class and would never leave the field without shaking hands with an opposing coach.  (He's had some experience doing that after a tough loss the past few years  :-[)

Yes, there are some "silent" Storm fans lingering around this board....

I wasn't aware that "Loras" was an area? If you mean DUBUQUE, then clearly the better choice would have been UD  ;D but we weren't looking for a coach so I understand him settling for what was available at the time.

Coocoo... one too many hits to the head on the rugby pitch my man.  You need to read full posts instead of using whatever is convenient for your argument.
