The IIAC did what we talked about.  Connell got MVP and Jackson got 1st team QB.

They actually named Connell and Jackson as first team choices and TeKippe as a second team selection.

Thanks, I didn't notice that the first time I looked it over.  Have they ever named 2 QB's to the first team before???

Congrats to Connell, McMartin and all of the All-IIAC performers...now lets hope that Central can make some noise in the playoffs  :)
Go Norse!!!

Not a lot of surprises were there Walston?  The list looks about the same as ours with a few getting switched between first and second dont you think?

I noticed that they had 3 WR first team and no TE and then 2 WR second and a second team TE

I noticed that as well.
Big surprise to me was Mulder being a unanimous selection by our guys and getting second team on the coaches picks. I figured the OL would be off. Since all 5 UD guys were nominated for our poll, I told my wife, "I bet the first one on the ballot gets it" I was right and noticed 2 other UD guys got first team.

Congratulations to all of these guys for getting some recognition for their hard work.  It truly was an exciting regular season...one of the best in recent memory.

All though when you think about it TE is kind of a dying position.  With the spread O's out there.  Even Haugen for Central lines up wide once and a while.

I think UD and Jermar getting all those rushing yards helped the UD line.  They didn't have only but one WR on the list.

Careful...O-linemen almost always take credit for the first 5 of big gains.  Anything less...really good defense. ;D

UD ran the ball a lot this year.  And when Jermar did throw it he really spread it around.  Clayton out of the backfield had the most receptions for UD and there were 5  players with a td reception of 50+ yards.  Last year it seemed like McIntosh and Belleus got most of the receptions in a more balanced running to passing attack.

It looks like, in keeping with twelve selections, two QBs= zero Tight ends on first team. Hense the one second team tight end. I think the traditional Fullback is the real dying breed on all-conference lists. ANDREW LOWER- ANDREW LOWER- ANDREW LOWER. I feel better now.

As for the 4-time AC selections... you talking 1st team, 2nd team, or any?

I can't believe that someone like Trevor Shannon isn't on there 4x from Wartburg.  That guy brought it every single game for the Knights.
The only thing capable of cutting Chuck Norris is Chuck Norris...

Traditional fullbacks are a dying breed in all of college football. H-back has taken the place.
