So tell me then where your students were at Bethel?  I didn't see one.  No doubt SJU travels well but their student don't bother to travel, only alums and parents.  This makes for a huge crowd that is very weak.  That is my point.

If you have any questions about the Johnnies we have an awesome fan website where you can read all of our stories about the season www.JohnnieFootball.com

We (the fans) aren't all football all the time, we also like to talk about Hamm's beer, deer hunting, and many other "off topic" items.
;D
We sometimes slip in discussion of blumpkins.  Does anyone on this board give out blumpkins?

It's where Freebird got his syndrome from. ::)  And I believe Iowa is where Stearns County got it's syndrome from. :P

Nobody wants to go to Bethel.   ;)

So, even if the students didn't travel to Bethel, which is known for poor seating, parking, etc., etc., etc., you feel the need to make a blanket statement which is obviously untrue...

Sure, Freebird, which is why UW-RF upped ticket prices and charged for parking for the SJU game there this season ...

How has Bethel traveled to its previous 2nd round games?

So next week are going to have a 3rd round joke lined up?  Get them in while you can because they are getting weaker and weaker.

Round 3 is rather presumptuous on your part, isn't it?

Old Dutch

As far as night llife in Pella I believe there are 3 decent watering holes, Woody's, Doc Salmis and a new place on the West edge of town, haven't been there yet, but pretty sure they don't serve Hamms either.  Theres a place in DM that has crappy beer night on Thursday, you could try that.

And that 2006 Central squad thats back this year is noticably better in several places, as has been noted earlier.  How does the 07 SJU squad measure up to your 06 squad, if I remember correctly theres a manimal on the D-line that was difficult to stop  Gunderson???  He and Gearman were the ones who killed us.  I see Connell and Kofeod having quite the battle Saturday with Schuring breaking some runs for the difference maker!

Freebird,

You are way wrong.

I was up and down the Johnnie sideline and both end zones many times.  Johnnie and Bennie students all over.  Oh, and even though we are an all male school we do have our sister school of St. Bens.  Full members of the Johnnie Nation for decades.

I was not qualified to be 7th string on my high school team, much less even consider being on the team at St. John's.  Does that somehow disqualify me in your eyes from being a devoted Johnnie fan?  I have watched all my Johnnie games, over the past 33 years, from places other than the bench.

Your lack of understanding of what it means to me and thousands of others to be a Johnnie is clear in your extremely misguided comments.
