Freddy Jackson got some more playing time today in Buffalo's 34-16 loss to Jacksonville. Five carries for 18 yards and five catches for 47 yards. The former Kohawk and two-time IIAC MVP continues to make the most of his opportunities and appears to have moved up to #3 on the depth chart.

P.S. Way to go Dutch! Keep it up.

Come on, DF1, you are on a roll and we all deserve to chuckle today.  Scratch that after last week's post we deserve those laughs that just plain bring tears to the eyes.  Enjoying your "tip toe through the over confident Johnnie poster's online two-lips.

Maybe the Johnnies will give us a little more respect in the future.  But I have to ask, if the Johnnies were having their way with us by winning 10-9, 21-18, 21-13, etc.  What is the correct terminology for what Central was doing yesterday?  I know, I know, Monkey Stomp.  But that's their term for it, we should develop our own.

How about a "Wooden Clog Stomp", or a klompen stompin'  Doesn't matter it was a blast to watch.

Way to smoke the johnnies Central...very impressive win compared to BU sneaking in right at the end to beat them.  Next weekend should be a sweet matchup, I would be shocked to see a blowout like last weekend, and I expect a close exciting game, not to say that bethel will win, but it will be a slugfest in my opinion, and with my bias, I'd hope to see a bethel victory...

I am blown away by Freddy Jackson's stats.

Way to go!

Go Kohawks!
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

DF1 - You post a very measured message a couple pages ago, then you go gloating down the river. As you know so well, it is tough eating the crow, but we don't have to do it all that often. I guess you should beat Bethel by 33 next week, if you go by the games both had against SJU. Will you give me 28 - I'm a generous guy.

Are the Vikings that much better than the Giants?

Vikes are playoffs baby!  Well maybe not...but if they beat Detroit next week they would be tied for a playoff spot.  getting AP back will only help things.  If we only had Cunningham, Moss and Carter back things would be good.  That would take care of the lack of QB WR presence

I'm sure most have already looked at this but here goes anyway.  UW was 5-19 passing for 37 yards and Bethel was 4-14 for 24 yards.  Was it really really windy up there?  or a blizzard?  or do both teams just struggle with the passing game.  Bethel did rush for 224 and the QB had 81 of that.  I don't remember them as an option team but last I saw of Bethel was 2nd game 2005 season.

I'd hope to see a bethel victory...

So, what you're saying is that you are actually going to make the road trip to Pella to witness the game firsthand......right?
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Eau Claire's "QB" was actually their starting WR making his first collegiate start at QB in what turned out to be his final collegiate game.  Their 4th string QB (I believe, maybe 5th), really UWEC's punter, but doing a pretty good job, was injuried last week against St. Norberts.  They had previously lost all their other QB's to injury earlier in the season.  Can't comment about Bethel's situation.

Ouch thats a bad string of injuries

Congrats to Central...you played a masterful game on Saturday...took away the long pass and shut down SJU when they were inside the 25 yard line...your offense fired on all cylinders Connell is a great QB, he fired darts all over the field, no doubt about it...the passing game improvement from last year is amazing to say the least...credit where credit is due to a great program reaching greatness once again.

Good luck against the Royals on Saturday, may the best team win!

Congrats to Central for a very well played game and huge victory on Saturday.  Central was able to come up with clutch plays time and again throughout the day.

I'm rooting for Bethel this week as I always back my conference first but if you win this Saturday I'll be pulling for Central the rest of the way.

Congrats again and may the best team win this Saturday.

Go Johnnies!!!

Mr.Shoes

Just got back from a long weekend in far western ND to see the fam. I caught the game over the 'net. Ouch. Congrats to the Dutch on the win. It was clear that the Johnnies forgot to show up and you didn't let us get away with it. Best of luck next week. I can't decide who to root for, but I'm leaning red.
Nice day, huh?

way to go Central!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....a nice butt-kicking of STJ.  Now lets see more of the same with Bethel.  I wonder how the IIAC is ....now.... viewed with all the close games this year...Central beat Luther  by 8 and Luther only lost by 7 to Olies...BV beats Bethel andthen losses to Wartburg who only losses by 3 to Central.....UD losses in triple overtime to Central......I could go on.  The IIAC had 5 very competitive teams this year....Central and Wartburg would have either won or finished 2nd in most all the D3 conferences.  UD, Coe and Luther would have won many conferences if not at least placing 2nd.  Its time the IIAC got more respect and this is our year to get it.  Go Central!
