Doolittle,

You trying to become a press agent?

Depends on how much my commission is  ;D

Once again, congrats to the Dutch, you had a great season and you represented the IIAC well.

I already can't wait for next fall and being able to see some more IIAC games.

The d3 broadcast was excellent to listen to.  I was having trouble tuning the radio in and went to the d3 broadcast.  It was crisp and clear, and the announcers knew what they were talking about.  Hopefully next time Pat or Kieth or Adam or whoever comes to Iowa the weather will be better for them.

Great season Dutch!!!!!

Hey, thanks, I appreciate it. I've certainly been accused of not knowing what I was talking about. :)

I'm sorry I wasn't able to get down and meet people but ... well, I wanted to stay dry. Plus we wanted to broadcast through the high-speed network and that required a little extra attention.

We got back to Minneapolis at 2 a.m. Ugh.

Great job today by Fred Jackson

Way to go!

Go Kohawks!
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

Kohawk Krazy

Curt is a Coe alum as well, but if you are going to compare Curt, Fred Jackson, Marv Levy and Carey Bender, I can see why they left Carey out.

Great game for Fred and the Bills today.  Would have loved to see him score on his 65-yard touchdown pass, but the Defense got to him.

Kinda felt bad for the Redskins to lose the way they did, but great that the Bills won in Fred's first start.

Pat,

Thanks for coming and broadcasting.  Had some relatives get your broadcast.  Wish there were better conditions for you to come to.  Thanks for all you do for the D3 players.

Going to need a corner to replace Weber, that's for sure. Could use a game breaking running back, but I'd really like to see us get back to a smash-mouth team. Really seemed more like a finesse team this year. That's going to take an ***-knocker of a fullback a la Ben Thompsen.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

With the IIAC out of the running now, it feels like the season is over.

I think the Knights need to improve the tailgating area.  Some work will need to be done when the construction trailers move out.  ;D
Other than that I think Walston is right on target.

Fred Jackson and Coe College getting some love on Fox NFL Sunday. They talked about them for a good 15 seconds. Jay Glazer called Fred Coe's most famous alum which the host took offense to because he is a Coe alum. Then they talked about Levy. Never brought up Bender.
Bender didn't play in the IIAC.  No offense to Coe, but there were defenses in the IIAC that would have been excited to have a shot at him, and I think that he would have had a less than stellar career...had he been facing early 90s Simpson, Wartburg, and Central.  Again...no offense, but Grinnell was really more focused on their relays during those years.

The wife and I sat and watched Freddy today.  He was overshadowed greatley with the Sean Taylor incident, but was a highlight, IMO.

Funny, Mrs. OldBeake asked, "why are we watching this game, again?"

"The Coe kid." I responded.

"I love 22!" she exclaimed.

Yup...I've turned her to the dark side. ;D

I think that is a good question for the entire board/all the teams in the IIAC...where does each team need to improve for the 2008 IIAC season???
Go Norse!!!
