Bret Farve is #2 because he's still a kid playing in his back yard.
NKD: "We need a f**king touchdown, excuse my French"
FBD: "I didn't know touchdown was French."

I will second the Joe Montana vote.  As a 49er fan growing up in northern California, I remember when the Niner's introduced the shotgun offense ... when Y.A. Tittle would throw the Alley Oop to R.C. Owens ... and when the Niner's had the Alphabet Backfield ...  Y.A., J.D, C.R., and R.C.  I will remember Montana to Clarke and "The Catch" and the Niner's final drive against Cincinnati in Super Bowl XXIII 'til I take my last breath ... relish the days of Lott, Rice, Craig, Fahnhorst, Wright, Solomon and so many more ... remember the Niner's final drive against Cincinnati.  Those were heady days.
Reality is for those who lack imagination 😀

You are a real humanitarian Walston...helping footballdaddy out like this to get him to 200 posts and the coveted karma power.  +K for your efforts to bring karma to another board member  :)

and my favorite football player...Barry Sanders.  He did more with less than any RB in history.  I hate to think about the numbers he would have put up if he had either an offensive line or a lead blocker  :)
Go Norse!!!

I will go back farther than that for my favorite.  Fran Tarkenton (sp).  That guy could avoid a pass rush and still somehow find a guy to throw it to.  The reason I say this is he was a QB when it was still a danger to QB's.  Now they have throw the ball away.  Having a son at QB it does save the players but IMO it hurts the D for having a good play.  I also can see why at the pro level they have done it as players have gotten bigger and faster it is safer for the QB but Fran was great at avoiding the rush and keeping the play alive.  +k footballdaddy here is to being at 0 or better by Christmas  :D

My favorite is Bo Jackson on Tecmo Bowl. There was never anyone better, anywhere, in the history of the game. I once ran out an entire quarter with him running circles around the screen.
