Glad to hear it's warmer in the office. Of course, now you have no excuse for typos and half-frozen thoughts. You'll just have to be like me and claim utter stupidity!  ;D

I should put that in my sig line.  "Please excuse my half-frozen thoughts and many typos...it's because of my utter stupidity!!!"

So my wife is saying no to a trip to Cali to see Dubuque.  But she is saying if the Spartans first home game is a night game which seems to be a strong possibility we could go to it and make a weekend of it in Dubuque.  So that wouldn't be too bad either.

How does the lucky lawnmower feel about that?

I had a chance to talk with Fred Jackson today by telephone and he said something only d3 football players can appreciate. I asked him how he spent his first paycheck and he said, "Paying student loans to attend Coe College!" I thought it was precious. I bet not many -- if any -- of his Buffalo teammates had student loans to pay.
I bet not either, I hope he keeps last weeks game check for himself, those were some pretty nasty working conditions.

I'm jealous of Dubuque's game at Redlands.  I hope Central goes some place exotic for a non-conference game.  Whoever puts the Dubuque schedule on their web site should check the October 11 game.  It says they play Central at Indianola!

Pella...Indianola...what's the difference???  ;D

DBQ1965

UD at Redlands ... great idea!

Maybe I should plan a trip to California to see family (Lodi ... as in Credence Clearwater's "Stuck In ..."  Anyone here old enough to remember that one?)

However, I think my wife would balk at that trip.  Guess I'll just have to settle for UD and Rockford dedicating UD's new stadium.
Reality is for those who lack imagination 😀

Hello from the SCIAC board. Just saw that Redlands & Dubuque are scheduled to play next year 9/3/08 in Southern California. Nice to see the SCIAC & IIAC hooking up for some non-conference games. Should be a fun game to watch.

RHS Grad '78...folks still live there.  I'm going back this weekend for my annual Alumni Basketball game.  Gary Smith recruited me for basketball at the U of R.

I date back to the Frank Serrao days when Ted Runner was the track coach not the Stadium!

At 12, I was a card-carrying Friend of the University and got in to all U of R sporting events free.

I am bummed that the DBQ is coming to SoCal and not my Rams.

Be careful Spartan Nation, the Bulldogs are tough at home and summer in Redlands is hot and dry.
You can't leave me....all the plants will die.

Would've liked to see this year's edition of the DBQ with Jermar Jackson attacking that Redlands defense....

Next year is kind of a rebuilding year, seemingly, for the Spartans.

Daddy,

My wife might beg to differ with you on that!!!  ;D

Spurrier, I can think of sights more beautiful than blowing snow. :)

Are you making the trek to Manchester for the holiday season?
