Only 227 Days, 23 hours, 6 minutes until kickoff.

I hate the offseason.

If it weren't for January-August, I would be broke.

Sad day coming up this Sunday.  The close to the 07 football season.  The banquet will be nice and it will be nice to honor the seniors that played, but kind of sad to see the football in the family stop.  Guess we all become fans now.

Well I am guessing about 14 years as the oldest is 3.5 years old and the second one is almost 2.  The second one loves to wear football helmets already.  You have to watch it when he has it on cause he will come up and spear you with the top and tackly you.  I think he maybe a D back or linebacker.  I think the oldest may be a wide out he has good hands but does not mix it up like his younger brother yet.  This may change with time.  I do know that the younger one is a tough one cause the older one does not cut him any slack and is kind of hard on the little one :)

DF '04- You should have done what my parents did and have a 10 year break between boys 3 and 4. Had #3 decided to stick school out, they would of had to wait only 6 years to go to more college football. Jr High football starts for #4 this coming fall. I know they can't wait since it will have been 3 years since someone in the family playing (2 coaching football and 1 coaching soccer though).
By the time #4 is out of college, Grandchild #1 will be in jr high.
Grandchild #2 is on the way this August. Great planning on our part, right during the heart of 2-a-days.

I agree with the football withdrawl. Now that the Packers have let me down, the Super Bowl will be just another Sunday. I have absolutely no interest in this game. Kinda sad that all I'll be looking forward to is the commercials.

Klopenhiemer - Luther soccer.
Coach Menlo had built a successful program, but like quite a few LC teams middle of the pack was about it.  Recently he'd been passed by Loras, Wart + Central w/ men and Loras + Wart w/ women.  NOT knowing but I'd guess it was "time for a change"

I knew as of late that they were middle of the pack and had been passed by Loras and Wartburg on the mens side.  I do remember seeing some Luther College teams between the 2000-2004 being very solid and conference contenders.  I was more interested in who they might have for candidates.  If you can give any insight into that, it would be interesting.

Luther's AD on Tuesday said they have 60+ resume's submitted and are just now beginning to screen them.

Congrats WH are you wishing for a O lineman or a Linebacker like uncle ?

Walston Hoover

D-linemen are hard to come by anymore so if I could somehow groom him (being a little presumptive after having a VB player on the first try) to have my size with the speed of a LB, we may be on to something.
Of course, he may end up being a good clarinet player like me wife too  ???
