This goes on my list of few things that actually has made me laugh out loud from something on a message board.  Spurrier, when I get to 200 posts, you are getting  +K x 2 for that one.

We saw them in Ames in April of '06 I think it was.  Was that thw show you were at???  I think Greg stopped touring shortly after that.  My wife and I have wondered what our kids would think with Sam as the lead singer.

We were at the same show!   :o
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

Didn't get to many concerts, as for shows, the single funniest show I have ever seen was "The Full Monty". As for being well put together, "The Lion King" was pretty good.

OK.

The Wiggles just strike me as creepy.

Grown men, dressed in what look like homemade Star Trek (Captain Kirk Version) uniforms, dancing "in a rather light-footed way" and singing silly little tunes.

I saw it for the first time and thought to myself, "That's not right..."

Looks like the Duhacks are picking up Wartburg's sloppy seconds in the non-con.

Best concert: Guns N Roses at the Hoosier Dome in 1992. I've seen the Stones a bunch but GNR was the best.

I'd love to have been a Wiggles family, but unfortunately I had the pleasure of Barney for two years.

On a side note, I saw Rodney Dangerfield in Des Moines around the time of Caddyshack. All he did was his album literally word for word, start to finish. To add to the spectacle, sitting next to me was none other than Jim Zabel.

I'm wondering if your brush with greatness sitting next to Zabel included him doing what Ratner from Fast Times was doing at the Springsteen show when he sat in front of Purple Heys???  I'm thinking it doesn't!!!

I almost fell out of my chair thinking of Zabel on the herb! A whole new meaning to "I love it! I love it! I love it!" :D :D :D :D :D

Can't you hear him? "I hate it when I get the munchies at Kinnick! Those stadium hot dogs give me the trots!"

My junior year at Central, 1969, I got to see a band called Mason Proffit in Douwstra Auditorium.  A guy gave me the tickets after the girl he thought he was going to take decided she had to wash her hair that night.  I never heard of Mason Proffit before or since except that I liked their show that night and later bought three of their records which I still have and would listen to if I only had a record player.  Back in the 60's Central used to get one or two bands a year that you had actually heard of.  No one was having trouble with their love life when the Kingsmen, or Kenny Rogers and the First Edition or Strawberry Alarm Clock came through so I missed those shows.  The problem with Douwstra Auditorium for a venue is that it is also Douwstra Chapel which tended to subdue the rock concert vibe some.

Two Hangmen is a great song. I bet I haven't heard in 15 years.
