A bottle ban, are you kidding me.  We were pissed when they banned kegs.  We had to get rid of our keg cooler, what a sad day that was.  Thank goodness for the Coors Light Party Ball.

Unfortunately, no we're not kidding.  Do any of the IIAC schools still allow kegs on campus? (Not rootbeer, Dutchie! ;))

There were no "secret probations" in those days.  UD student body was small ... and so was campus ... so there were no secrets of any kind.  There were only 7 campus buildings plus the seminary ... Steffens (which housed the library and all administrative offices on the first floor, classrooms on the second floor, and dorm rooms on the third floor), Severance, Van Vliet, Aitchison, Goldthorp. McCormick Gym and Peters Commons.  Of course, there was the sacred space known at Chalmers Field.

off subject - anyone a Bulls fan?

I am a big Bulls fan and I am downright upset about the way this season has went.  Its time to clean house.

Wallace, Deng, and Duhon all need to go.

Keep Hinrich, Noc, and Gordon, and build the team off that.

Of course this is merely my opinion.

i'm not a fan until playoff/late playoff time.  more of a fair weather fan anyways.

I never thought Joe Smith ever panned out the way they said he would once he left UConn.  Wallace played like a sack of potatoes anyways.  Since he is in a playoff race, I am sure he will perk up a bit.

Its hard when you live in the city not to like the Bulls.  You are always hearing about them, so you just kind of natually follow them.  I am sure if I was still living in SL my interest in the Bulls would not be what it is now.

On a side note the games are fun, its a circus like atmosphere.

89.1 - My no student announcers is made in slight frustration. I think anytime Wartburg has something on-air or cable it should BE students announcers and camera ops. The tradition of always students is gone and it's sad. But they're taking the easy way by simocasting.

I didn't mind Walston doing f-ball after graduation because he was preoccupied on Saturday afternoons while a student.

CCIW 945 pages, IIAC 845
CCIW 945 pages, IIAC 855

Yeah, but we're a BASKETBALL conference! :D

IIAC FB 855 + IIAC BB 90 = 945.

CCIW FB 945 + CCIW BB 941 + CCIW in-game updates 161 + CCIW pickems 67 = 2,014.

And this omits the baseball, soccer, etc., boards.

You guys either need to talk a WHOLE lot more, or expand your interests! ;D

i'm pretty sure some of you are either state employees or are un-employed by the number of posts that go on here during the day-   seriously, I check this every couple of days and it still  takes at least 15 minutes to get caught up.

sounds like Waverly knows a thing or two about wrestling- my buddy (w/wrestling knowledge)
said waverly has 3 or 4 potential D1 wrestlers..

by the way, did anyone see that Ferentz's son won the heavy weight title, he beat a kid from SE Polk
hopefully he turns out to be as good as his brother and doesn't waste a good scholarship - or maybe he doesn't get a scholarship when your dad makes $700k per win

Coach Miller is amazing -

Top-ranked Wartburg crowned five-or-more individual Iowa Conference champions for the sixth year in a row Thursday, Feb. 21, en route to their 16th consecutive team conference title. Head coach Jim Miller's squad had seven individual champions during their 185.5-point outing.

3 of the W-SR seniors have signed d1. Ballweg with Iowa, Wrage with U of Ohio, (former W-SR Joel Greenlee is head coach there) + Thompson ISU.
Jake Ballweg is probably also a d1.

I would guess you'll see some of the other seniors around the IIAC.

Ferentz lost 2 times this year, both to Thompson, both pins. But give the kid credit for "going for it" and getting caught in counter move.

I totally understand your frustrations.  The experiences I got doing live events hands on was so helpful for me.  I even went back to my radio days last summer when I co-hosted a racing radio show one weekend.  Reminded me of 2004 National Wrestling when I had no clue what was going on.

Signing up Walston to do the FB broadcasts after he was out of college was one of the best moves I made as Sports Director at KWAR.  He had the most knowledge of anyone out there, along with experience, and was just fun to listen to on the air.

Just out of curiosity, can any BV followers give me a little insight on their Communication Arts program?  I had looked into going to school there and I know they had a solid college radio station.  Just wondering what kind of experiences they have to offer a TV/Radio major.
