89.1,
Do they have audio broadcasts on hand in the KWAR vault?  I would like to get my hands on a couple of them and listen to how bad Walston bashed me.

Chandler wants to be done by the end of the week.  they're keeping it in house (who they're interviewing)

Today isn't the end of the week...but it is the end of the WORK week...so, will we hear anything today???  Enquiring minds want to know  ;D

We used to record all the games.  I'm just not sure if they would be locked up as most of his stuff has been hidden from the light of day.

Keep an eye on the front page of D3 they will have the info I am sure.  The Coe faithful and their pipeline might get to know first but I am sure Pat will have it up soon as well.  The interviews might be done today but they may take the weekend to sleep on it and announce it Monday.

****ANNOUCEMENT*****

Just got off the phone with Chandler, and it is official!!!!

Marv Levy is returning to his alma mater where his coaching career began and will be the next head coach of the Coe College Kohawks!!!

I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

Also during our conversation Chandler hired me to perform between sessions at the DIII wrestling nationals hosted by Coe and Cornell at the US cellular center.

Bring the kids and come watch Monkeys fly out of my ass!!!  :-*

Hey, it's Friday and things were getting boring in here.  Give me a break.

i'm guessing even if he makes the decision today he won't announce it until monday.
there are, however, some interesting names on the list

Good. Maybe they can replace Raeburn's bio with a picture of Marv. It's been three weeks...who are they trying to fool?

I just want to let you all know that I am officially taking my name off the list as a candidate for the new Kohawk Coach.

Chandler is a great guy and all, and Coe would have been an exciting opportunity.

But we were unable to come to an accord on the amount of Crunchberries.

That, and he insisted that Coe College remains in Iowa and will not relocate to San Diego.

89.1 - My no student announcers is made in slight frustration. I think anytime Wartburg has something on-air or cable it should BE students announcers and camera ops. The tradition of always students is gone and it's sad. But they're taking the easy way by simocasting.

I didn't mind Walston doing f-ball after graduation because he was preoccupied on Saturday afternoons while a student.

I totally understand your frustrations.  The experiences I got doing live events hands on was so helpful for me.  I even went back to my radio days last summer when I co-hosted a racing radio show one weekend.  Reminded me of 2004 National Wrestling when I had no clue what was going on.

Signing up Walston to do the FB broadcasts after he was out of college was one of the best moves I made as Sports Director at KWAR.  He had the most knowledge of anyone out there, along with experience, and was just fun to listen to on the air.

Just out of curiosity, can any BV followers give me a little insight on their Communication Arts program?  I had looked into going to school there and I know they had a solid college radio station.  Just wondering what kind of experiences they have to offer a TV/Radio major.

The TV and Radio stations are run mostly by Media Studies majors - Comm. Studies is a separate program that focuses more on interpersonal and/or corporate communication.  The radio station is pretty solid, and the TV station usually broadcasts a couple football and basketball games each year.  They also have a late show, a talk show (a la The View) and there have been several game shows that have aired in the past fewyears that were mostly trivia-based.

The programming is pretty good, considering the size of school.  The only thing really wrong with the Media Studies program is that it's overpopulated with hipster types who think their ability to quote Kevin Smith movies and go weeks without showering makes them cooler than the rest of the student body.

Sorry guys (and DF1), I was at an alternate location today and wasn't able to post.

So here I am doing my best to help push pages.

i'm pretty sure some of you are either state employees or are un-employed by the number of posts that go on here during the day-   seriously, I check this every couple of days and it still  takes at least 15 minutes to get caught up.

Nope, we're instituionalized.
