I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

Good job IIAC wrestlers.  Let's just keep the tourney in Iowa.  Wasn't it in Dubuque last year???  Cedar Rapids this year, we could have it in Des Moines next year and maybe the Quad Cities the next year.  Keep it local for us!!!
It's already booked for Cedar Rapids next year. Hopefully it will  become the permanent home of the tournament. Congratulations to Wartburg on yet another national title. The Kohawks are gaining on you though -- fourth place overall and the first national wrestling champion in school history! Tyler Burkle can literally paint the town red tonight.
4 IIAC football championships
8 NCAA football playoff appearances
13 straight wins over Cornell in the oldest football rivalry west of the Mississippi

OK! Way to go IIAC in the NCAA D3 Wrestling Tournament (1-4-6-7) Not too shabby.  I thought a great dominating performance by the Knights.  Plenty of All-Americans returning next year to make a repeat possible.

Sorry young Mr. Miller failed in his attempt for two titles.  You have to show some offense occasionally.  He got by with it in the IIACs, but caught up with him tonight.

Coe should be ready to rock-n-roll next year.  At least a year away from catching the Knights I think.  Possibly 2010 will be their year.  It just depends who Coach Miller has stashed away in the corner of the Wartburg wrestling room.  Possibly at a weight or two there will be another All-American like Borchers just waiting for his time.

In closing congratulations to the Knights, Kohawks, Norse, and Rams.  The next few years of IIAC wrestling should be a blast.

With my earlier post, I should have also saluted BV and UD for top 25 finishes at the NCAA D3 Wrestling Tournament.    :)

Luther has thought that for years. It just ain't happening.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

BTW-Wartburg returns all 3 individual national champs next year along with 2 more All-Americans. Would be nice to repeat.
Former Wartbug assistant Dave Malacek at UW-LaX had his crew in 2nd.
I love seeing the Iowa Conferend just dominate the Nationals.
Would be nice to see ISU and Iowa go 1-2 at Nationals as well. I know ISU got all 10 weights through. I think Iowa does too.

Walston...you are right.  Coe and Luther and the other IIAC contenders will not measure up to the Warts as long as they give "Leadership Awards" to athletes as a coverup to athletic scholarships.
Let's at least get honest.  Time to "call a spade a spade".
