Good job dolittle. +k for you. 4 schools have never won a conference ras'lin title that are currently part of the conf. Who are they?

I will say Loras and Dubuque because they never win at anything...and Coe and Cornell because they are new to the conference.

Well UD might be the right spot for Heys Jr.  Look what you guys did with Bellus when you had him.  One and done might be the UD special :o

Except Heys Jr has 2 years left.  Belleus was a senior when he played at UD.

Actually I have a lot of love for BV.  My 1 year on the UD tennis team I went 2-12 with 1 of those 2 wins coming against BV  ::)

One of the most respected teachers at La Porte City is a BV alumnus and because of him probably 2-3 kids every year go to BV.  His son plays tennis there now!!!

As I have a lot of respect for UD.  I really considered going there out of high school.  I had a strong interest in the aviation program.  Weird how things change.

Back on that diversity thing...

Heys Jr. is half Cuban (honest)...how much would that get him at other IIAC schools. Hint: Include food with plenty of meat.

(BTW he's 6'5" 245 now...and he's willing to repair roofs...doesn't need much of a ladder)

:D

I'd be willing to bet most every coach in the IIAC would be willing to find some aid money to throw your sons way.  Now would he be willing to leave the girlfriend back in Mt. Vernon???

Hmm, I wonder which team I think your son should transfer to...let's see...Dubuque is closer to your Chicago business trips, new stadium, program on the rise, most ethnically diverse campus in the conference, are currently putting on the roof on the new rec center, just happends to be playing a game next year in Socal!!!  Hmm, I wonder...I wonder  ;D

Well UD does have that advantage, but Central he may get to see a playoff game or two. ;D ;D ;D

May have a word for you on the son's GA job for you tomorrow Doolittle I think he is talking to the coach tonight.  Hint he may still be a thorn in UD's side.

Son just called and he told his new boss he was coming.  He will be the wide receivers coach at the University of Redlands in California.

Congrats to Timmy.  Did the winter we've had in Iowa have any impact on his decision to head to California? ;D

I was advised that he is still a couple of Double Doubles shy of 245...   ;)

BTW, I am not shopping him...this was totally in fun...We'll all be proud to see him graduate from Cornell.

That is flat out Spectacular!  Congrats to Tim.

This is a win-win.  Coach Maynard and the UofR have a first class program and Tim is a first class young man.

He will enjoy Redlands, I think.  It's kind of a small town for SoCal.  But he also has the chance to experience LA, the Beaches, the Mountains...  ::)

I have two words for him:  El Burrito.   He just needs to follow the street that bisects the campus West until he goes under the freeway then its on his left.

It's my hometown and my folks live there still.

Don't sweat it SK...Connell the Younger can still visit the snow whenever he wants during the Winter...it will be conveniently stored only 45 minutes away in the mountains just north of where he works.  They'll even make some for him if they run out during the Winter.

DF4k:  Has Tim ever spent a significant amount of time in SoCal?

It looks to me that after a few seasons of getting the new sports rolling they could be a candidate to be added to the IIAC.

AEN:  I never thought I would see the day that Grandview added football and wrestling, but the day has come.  Grandview would be a logical addition to the IIAC due to close proximity to other IIAC schools such as Central and Simpson.  It would not adversly effect the travel patterns for any team either.

On another note, Grandview would be a great addition and add some competition to the baseball ranks.  They have always fielded a solid well coached squad.

I don't think so.  It is where he got an offer and the coach I think is what sold him.
