8 - total points for Ithaca in the 1974 championship game

8 - difference in the score of the 2006 Central-SJU game 21-13

8 minutes into the 2007 SJU game Central had scored as many points as SJU would the entire game  ::)

Klop,

WORLD record?!  I dare say there are locations in Antarctica (and perhaps Siberia, Greenland, etc.) which have NEVER hit 70 degrees.  And no doubt inhabited places in Alaska, Canada, etc., where any year they ever went ONLY 182 days between hitting 70 would be a clear sign of global warming. ;D

Cheer up - spring WILL arrive!

Although I do agree with what you said above, these statements were taking into consideration locations that will reach the 70 degree mark.  The weather person was talking about locations that have the 4 season and are not extreem examples as you stated above.  As I am sure you would agree, their are world records taken for everything.  Such as how many times can you walk from one place to another considering you are wearing purple shoes that are 5 years old and you only walk 3 hours a day.

Cheering up is hard to do when your emotions are frozen along with everything else.

Just like baseball stats....such as this pitcher has the most wins of any pitcher on Fridays in September during even numbered years.

We are finally looking to maybe hit 60 degrees up in SE MN by tomorrow.  And as we all know, 60 in MN is considered a heat wave.  College kids will be breaking out the frisbees and blankets to go tan on in no time.

8 - Former Wartburg tight end Adam Pirkl.  Didn't make a lot of plays (easy to lose the guy in the mix when you've got WRs like Winter, Kelley, and Duchman) but usually came up big when he got his shot.

8 - Channel position of Wartburg Television on the Waverly/Janesville/Shell Rock/Denver cable system.

Back when I still lived in Dubuque Lee Corso picked Pittsburgh to win a game and he backed it up by saying what Pittsburghs record was in night games played on grass in the month of October in the 1980's!!!

To set the record straight. The player went to Coe, didn't like it, transfered to Kirkwood CC and NOW is coming to Wartburg..... No home building/improvements involved.

To further set the record straight.......the player left Coe for Kirkwood because he thought he could earn a division I scholarship after playing there for a season.

8- Number of my roommate and three year start at safety Blue Aldridge, who is currently trying to make the roster for the Barnstormers.  Didn't know many 6'2" 220 pound guys that could run a legit 4.4.  Now if only play action had never been invented....... ::)

You would be correct.  I believe he didn't even make the team at Kirkwood...

That is actually good to hear.

Just think how this board would have exploded if it had gone along the lines of..."all-conference Coe basketball player is seen in CR on tuesday driving a beat up Yugo, on thursday after transfering to Wartburg he was seen in Waverly driving a new Escalade"

As it turns out, the reality is a non-issue and no big deal.

But another loss to the EVIL EMPIRE none the less.  Coe Nation must be cringing.   ;D ;D ;D ;D  How do we know that the construction angle was not used.  Sounds fishy to me  ;D ;D ;D ;D Only if this had happened a few days ago this would have been a great April Fools Day topic.  Sounds to me like he may be searching for a home.  Coe faithful did he have much playing time at Coe?  If he didn't have an impact at Coe, how much help will he be to the Knights.  In the end I think Doolittle you are correct a non-issue in the end.

He played in all 27 games as a Freshman at Coe.  Averaged 10.1 minutes per game and 4.1 points per game.
