The 15th of April is cursed:

1912 - Titanic sank

That was also the day of the first game at Fenway Park in Boston.  Just give a little perspective about how long that place has been around.

You mean April 15th is even more cursed?!

[Oh, wait, I hate the Yankees much more than the BoSox! :D]

Debate topic: which is MORE sacred - Fenway or Wrigley?  (Personally, I would've included Tiger Stadium in the debate, but the bastards already tore it down. >:()

The 15th of April is cursed:

1865 - Lincoln died.

1912 - Titanic sank

every year - taxes due

All in favor of just skipping from the 13th to the 16?  (Figure we'd better avoid the 14th also, since that is the date Lincoln was shot and the Titanic struck the iceberg!)

1947 - Jackie Robinson's major league debut :)

April 12th-20th hasn't really been a good run of days in American History.

15 - minutes in a quarter

15 - yard penalty for facemasking

Only if it is a personal foul face masking penalty there can be the 5 yard type.  Offensive pass interference is always 15 unless inside the 30 yd line then half the distance.  Defensive is spot foul for fouls under 15 yards and 15 Yards for farther down field and an automatic first down.

Only in college.  The NFL is doing away with the 5 yard facemask penalty this year (the NCAA might have done the same, but I can't remember right now).

Proposed NCAA rule eliminates 5 yarder

That's interesting that they just named a new coach now.  Staton retired back in November, right around Thanksgiving, if I remember right.  A four month coaching search.  You don't see that everyday.

I can't say that I know all that much of Kac's style, but I can almost guarantee that he'll be quite a departure from Staton.

Purple Heys

16 more points (in any combination) and Cornell wins one of its first two IIAC games last year.

(This involves math so I don't want any Coe fans out there spraining their brains...)  ;)

I thought The Titanic sank on April 12??

The RMS Titanic hit the iceberg on April 14 and sank on the 15th.

But the year was 1912, which might be where Walston's confusion came from.
