There are free lots available on the Aplington golf course!!!  Maybe WH needs to move home...that's got to be better than hanging out in Rhodes...now that place is ghetto  :o  Unless you are talking about hanging out at the Harvester Golf Course which I don't think you were  ;D

28 - The UD record for career rushing TD's...prior to last season.  Held by Tim Finn 1978-81

28 - The UD record for most rushing TD's in one season...set in 1980 and tied in 2007

How do  you keep coming up with these Spartan statistics?  I love it!

I have a Dubuque media guide.  I emailed the AD and SID and never recieved a response.  Then I emailed an assistant coach...one that had worked on it and he immediately replied to my email, asking me how many copies I wanted and had them mailed out to me that day!!!

I am now working on recruiting.  As I picked up my daughter from kindergarten round up today I was also bringing home two other kids for my wifes daycare.  The boy I picked up, his dad was on the track team at Iowa.  He was telling me that he was in a football camp this year and mentioned how he wants to play football for Iowa.  I suggested to him that if Iowa doesn't work out he could take a look at Dubuque!!!  Never too early to get the ole alma mater into the back of his mind  ;D ;D ;D

Till he hears about Central and all of the championships!   ;D ;D ;D ;D  You never know he may have some Central grads for teachers and coaches  ;D ;D ;D ;D  You are correct about recruiting however it is never to early. ;D ;D

Yeah, but by the time this 5 year old is 18 it will have been over a decade since Central won any titles...which will be ancient history to him.  Dubuque and Cornell will be the conference powers then and kids will say they want to go play for a winner.  Not work hard and go 0-10 like if they went to Central or Wartburg  ;D ;D ;D  It could happen...probably won't...but it could happen ;D ;D ;D

Aaron Kampman on Coach Ed Thomas
I believe his greatest legacy comes not in how many football games he won or lost but in the fact that he was a committed follower of Jesus Christ.

Maybe some senior citizens want to drink some beer while watching or participating in the Rock Throw!

And to continue the baseball memrobilia conversation, I have a Ryne Sandberg autographed baseball and Cubs mini-batting helmet signed by Ernie Banks and Fergie Jenkins.

Not really baseball autograph but Bill Engvall signed one of his posters when he was at Wartburg....thanks to AEN for letting me work that event.  Get paid to watch a comedian?  Sounds like working with Sportsknights....

Tulips are blooming but not many open in Pella.  The poffertges are good as ever.  The BBQ pork at the football stand was tasty as always.  Good to see the coaches.  Sounds like the team came out of spring with no injuries.

Mr. Here's Your Sign ain't got $h*t on me.

And for what its worth, I now have a shaved head.  Got the hair taken off this morning as part of a "Balding for Kids Cancer" promotion through the radio station I work part time at.  You can still donate online by going to:  http://www.kidsmiracles.org/NETCOMMUNITY/Page.aspx?pid=569&srcid=224
