Tulips are blooming but not many open in Pella.  ...  Good to see the coaches.  Sounds like the team came out of spring with no injuries.

Let's hear some recruiting news

Without revealing my source (who may or may not be accurate <-- how''s that for a disclaimer??) :)  I hear that Central will soon be home to Nate Snead (currently at Drake), Brett Wilkin (currently at Iowa), Ben Burzacott, Shane Wong -- all standouts on the SEP 2006 Championship team.

Again, water cooler speculation....

Did these guys commit?

Thanks Footballdaddy, been back to work for about a Month. The Doctor said that everything looks good and that they think they got all of it. Has Jr. left for the Mexico yet?  You will probably see me this week or next as the old girl needs some work done ( not the wife) the car. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Footballkid's been in Mexico since Thursday. Talked to him briefly last night ($.99 a minute!), and so far so good. No Montezuma's Revenge yet! ;D I'll be gone next Friday since taking softballkid to WB for a visit, maybe we can get a multistudent discount!

D-III compared to NAIA seem to have similar enrollments.  D-III schools seem to be more expensive and also have higher endowments than the NAIA schools.

Yowza!

I know this is a football board, but Wartburg winning the IIAC conference tournament was newsworthy enough to mention in one line of the Des Moines Register. I know that softball isn't a "Big Three" sport, but in women's athletics it is. As if we need one more example of the lack of repect the IIAC gets.

My guess on IIAC schools being more expensive that the NAIA schools is...with IIAC schools having on average bigger endowments, they are then able to give more in finantial aid packages...therefore evening things out with the NAIA schools.  Grinnell, with the largest endowment had the highest expenses.  St. Ambrose with the biggest endowment among the NAIA schools was also the most expensive among them.

Now if only I could find that website I saw a year or 2 ago that listed average finantial aid packages  :-\

It didn't even make the W'loo Courier on Sunday. I guess they were too busy writing about horses and ultimate fighting.
Aaron Kampman on Coach Ed Thomas
I believe his greatest legacy comes not in how many football games he won or lost but in the fact that he was a committed follower of Jesus Christ.

Anyone have any information on the spring practices?  Who has had them and what were the results?

Central had them and they didn't suffer any injuries.  Was good as the team is going to be young.

29 - UD record for most extra points made in a season... by Todd Cox in 1980  That record was broken during the 2007 season...many UD offensive records were broken in the last year.

I wonder if any of those were after a TD reception by spurrier???
