29 -- Iowa Conference football titles for Central. Go Dutch!!

Spent last week in Chicago....fun times. I took in a Cubs game, drank a little beer, ate some Chicago-style deep dish, went shopping, and had a great time....and it's back to the daily grind again. Klop, don't you live over there?

Yes I do.  If you visited the city you might have visted Navy Pier.  I live very close to there.  3 things Chicago is great for, baseball, pizza, and shopping.  Oh wait I did I mention the 4th...Cleaning out your wallet ;D

I stayed at the Allerton on Michigan Ave -- it was pretty nice, and yes, my wallet feels a little lighter now.... it was well worth it, though. Chicago is one of my favorite cities in the US. If you're going to do it, you may as well do it right! :)

Any word on how the new Luther head coach is doing?

I mostly have been talking with someone on blocking schemes and formation stuff about the offense, so I really haven't heard too much big picture stuff about the new regime.  I heard some positive early reviews on the new OL coach, and the one person I recently talked to thought the practices were set up to be a little tougher from a conditioning standpoint.  It is spring practice though, so it's not like they had spring football under Coach Hefty.

Cornell's Spring practices start next week 5/12.

BTW -- We received word the other week that they are looking at Heys Jr. as a stong-armed QB that is just the type they are looking for....NOT!

Jr. got the erroneous email too.  I kind of chuckled at it.  Poor Coach Dillon is trying to get a handle on a new Email program and it goes postal on him, firing off at all on the list.

At least it's good to know Jr. is still on Dillon's list.    :D

I am excited for next season, Jr.'s grown some more and I want to see how it translates on the field.   :)

Glad you could give that town a warm-up to my visit this coming weekend, Dutchie.  I'll also be going to a Cubs game (Saturday vs. Arizona), eating some pizza, and drinking some beers (Old Style), but probably won't do much shopping.

For my part, I spent the past weekend in Iowa City attending the bachelor party of a former Wartburg basketball player.  Good times had by all, but especially my team in the 18 hole best shot tournament we had to start off the day.  We won top honors, and a tidy cash prize that probably didn't last thru the first hour on the Ped Mall.

Agreed, but am I the only one surprised to learn dutchfan1 carries a wallet?

I guess it's good to know Coach Dillon still wants him! If not, I suppose there may be a roofing job in his future!

For a 5th, I would have to say Chicago style hotdogs.  Can't go wrong with an all beef hotdog with all the toppings and some fries on the side.  Superdawg on Milwaukee Ave at the intersection of Devon and Nagle is a regular stop for me when I am in town.

Sounds like Chicago is also starting to be known for managers who like to drop expletives during interviews.  Ozzie Guillen gave Lee Elia a run for his money in great tirades by Chi-town managers.
