37-  TD's for Tim Connell this year  35 passing and two rushing.

I thought he caught one as well...of course I might not have been looking at the highlights too well after the Dubuque part of it, but I thought I saw a play where they threw the ball back to him!!!

Sure did, against Wartburg.  The play was called at a perfect time and my stomach turned in the same instant.

WARTBURG vs. Linfield - 3:30 p.m.  TODAY.
OK it's not football but baseball @ 2008 NCAA Division III regionals .

As it would be in football though. Loser goes home, winner continues.

Linfield 7  Wartburg 5.

Congrats to Knight women's golf 10th place finish @ the national meet. Kate Thompson 15th in individual portion.
Aaron Kampman on Coach Ed Thomas
I believe his greatest legacy comes not in how many football games he won or lost but in the fact that he was a committed follower of Jesus Christ.

That had to be a hard game for you to watch.  Working for the Dutch radio and watching the alma mater at the same time.  At least the loss came to a team you kind of rooted for.   ;D ;D ;D

At this weekend's clinic, every coach for the school is required to be there.

Track coaches may have a small conflict...  Speaking of which, I'm on my way down to the blue oval.
Actually some track coaches came and went as the state schedule allowed.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

just got back from Vegas tonight.   Walston and a few others were talking about golf earlier.  If you get a chance to play out there, play Rio Secco.   riosecco.com
On the bottom of the  scorecard they have Tiger's course record of 64 broken down  hole by hole.  It's the only course i've played where 17 & 18 are par 5's.

as far as iowa courses, i'm partial to Harvester, Centennial Oaks,(waverly- some of the fastest greens in state) &  Briarwood. I've heard the course in Burlington is sweet as well as TCI in polk city.

On a football note.  my buddies and i saw Emmitt Smith this morning @ MGM- we were walking along side of him and asked for a picture.  He just kept walking so my buddy who is a huge Steelers fan says" that's fine, I was just kidding. I'm a steelers fan and hate the cowboys" He just smiled and kept walking.  However, my friend took great satisfaction that he could talk some junk to Emmitt.

Fine work by your friend.  Although if I were him, I wouldn't assume Emmitt was just being a d*ck.  After watching some of his "commentary" on ESPN last fall, Emmitt may have just taken that long to formulate the word "sure" in his mind.  ;D

Just as long as you don't have a video link for that game I'm ok with it  ;D

I was at the UD/Cornell game this past season where UD scored 34 points in the 1st quarter...not quite up to Central standards...but that was kinda fun to watch.  Not so much for Purple Heys on the other sideline that day though!!!

39 - The age I was untill 3 or so weeks ago!!!
