First of all thanks for the welcome.  ;D ;D ;D
I'm new to posting but definitly not new to the IIAC!!

Since I did post the question I guess I can answer it myself.

1. Wartburg
2. Central
3. Luther
4. Coe
5. Simpson
6. Cornell
7. UD
8. Loras
9. BV

MVP:  Nick Yordi

Sleeper:  Luther

Overhyped:  Jury is still out!!!!

Luther was missing that element was great QB play.Feldt didn't play horrible, he didn't make many mistakes and he managed the game as best as he could, but he just didn't have the ablity to take over a game like a jackson or connell. Though luther had Sheridan, you know being one deminsional in this leauge isn't going to get you too far as you saw, 5-5. With Luther returning a much more experenced defense especially up front teams will have a much tougher time moving the ball. Also with the New coach taking over the offense I see a much more effective and balanced offense. They also have the top QB recruit in the state coming on campus and a very good QB with a year of college ball under his belt , and Remember they do still have two VERY good backs in Lamos and Bass. But it is only May will have to see what happens comes August.

1. Central - Wartburg has to be the team to beat, but Central is/has been top dog for the past 2 years, until someone knocks them off, they deserve it.
2. Coe (finally beats the burg)
3. Wartburg
4. Simpson (maybe new coach will bring a new fire and suprise a couple teams early)
5. UD - no jackson, no offense
6. Luther -- always seem to underachieve, and with a new coach, and no Sheridan
7. BV
8. Loras
9. Cornell - could be better, but have to win one before getting out  of the cellar

in my book, 4-8 can be a toss up this year.  if it wern't for a new coach, i think that 1-3 could also be a toss up this year.

and for the pillowfight of the year (Thanks ESPN) Cornell vs. Loras

game of the year (tie): Coe vs. Central; Coe vs. Wartburg; Wartburg vs Central

MVP: um, Tom Brietbach anyone?

Sleeper: Coe - just because of the new coach/qb - i dont think anyone expects much

Overhyped: UD/Luther - only Luther becaue they always seemed hyped up, and never produce anything

TME Correction Central has been top of the conference the last three years.  They tied with Coe in 2005.

touche, but Coe got them that year <--the last to beat central in the regular season i believe.  they have been outright top dog the last 2, not the last 3, is what i was implying.  they deserve it even more because they havent had to "share" it with anyone else.

40 - Gale Sayers. NFL Hall of Fame with SHORTEST playing career.
For you youngin's... he was the NFL version of Reggie Bush in college.
He may have been the best athlete to call Wrigley Field home.

Email sent to Wartburg students this morning-
Residents of Grossmann, Löhe & The Residence:

Anyone found in violation of any college policy between now and the end of the year will be asked to turn in his or her keys on the spot and will be escorted off campus. That person will then have to make arrangements during business hours to collect his or her belongings from his or her room. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter, please don't hesitate to contact me.

We had a keg in our shower the last week of May Term my senior year. Something tells me that may be frowned upon right now.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

So that doesn't sound like they would be kicked out of school.  And how much longer until summer starts???  If that student was planning on spending the summer in Waverly they would probably already have an apartment lined up for the summer.  Doesn't sound like too bad of a penalty.

But I agree, some of the stuff we did in the dorms back in the day I certainly think would be frowned upon and if I had been caught, I too would be turning in my keys and making arrangements to collect my things!!!

Were things getting out of hand at just those residences???  I'm guessing there are more than just those three???

Sounds like a group punishment for a few bad apples IMHO.  It also sounds like there is a lack of due process.  Does Wartburg have a process stated for punishment and does this over ride this policy?  I don't know just asking.  Sounds like there is some kind of unruliness going on.

I know that you lived in Grossmann for a few years, but I find it odd that you're still getting emails as if you still live there 5 years after the fact.   ;D

Wartburg's student life staff always seems to get their panties in a bunch this time of year.  I would imagine that most students will be done with their May Term classes tomorrow or Thursday, and the vast majority will move out fairly quickly afterwards.  Typically, the only students left living on campus after the end of classes are those taking summer courses, graduating seniors, other students assisting with graduation weekend events, and those living in Waverly for the summer that haven't moved to their off-campus residences yet.  Definitely not a big logistical threat.

One of the stupidest end-of-year policies Wartburg has is that graduating seniors have to be moved out by the end of the day on graduation Sunday, which usually occurs during Memorial Day weekend.  Is it really that necessary for students to have to move out on Sunday, rather than a Monday where there will be nothing else going on?

Compared to some of the stories I've heard from long gone alums, the Wartburg students of today are incredibly well behaved and tame.  A friend of mine that graduated in the early 90s used to tell me about the year he and his roommate lived next door to two other friends and they knocked out part of the wall between the two rooms so they could party together.  He said they had to stick around campus for an extra day at the end of the year to replaster the wall.  That level of debauchery is pretty well unheard of to today's young uns.

But sir, the residents of Grossman are already on probation!!!

They are? Well, as of this moment, they're on DOUBLE SECRET PROBATION!!!
